best glutamine on the market???

Glutamine peptides are bunk.

1) Single amino acids are absorbed just as well if not better than di- or tri-peptides. Most peptides are broken down into individual aminos anyway, rendering the point moot.

2) By weight glut. peptides are very low in glutamine.

This is what I have concluded after researching the issue and consulting with my doctor.

That said as far as I can tell glutamine is glutamine. I shop by price and found schwartzlabs for like $35 a kilo which I thought was a good deal. Can't remember the place.

Then...how come many people on this board say Glutamine Peptide is more effective than just Glutamine or L-Glutamine?

yea what are you saying bro, L-glutimine is better? I always thaught the peptides were the way to go!!

First of all, I have tried both and not really seen any results from either.

I honestly feel that if your diet is very protein rich, (1g per lb bw/day), you are getting more than enough glutamine.

Therefore I don't do either.

BUT, if you DO insist on taking glutamine, the science and economics behind it really point towards glutamine, if only becase the cheapest glutamine and the cheapest glutamine peptides are about the same price, yet the glutamine peptides have at most 1/3 of the glutamine in pure glutamine (though it's probably more like 16% or so). There is no evidence either that the glutamine in glutamine peptides is absorbed three times better. If anything the evidence says pure glutamine is absorbed more efficiently.

PS use the search function, you will find everything I have read and much more I'm sure.

Price

I've spoken with a few distributors and manufacturers of
L-Glutamine, and the going rate is around $20/kg.
in 25-50kg quantities. Chinese or Korean made.
$35/kg is a good retail price.
