I don't see a problem with her moving in with you. I would talk to your friend about it though, just to let him know, and that you two are still kewl and such. About the girl, I would wait for her to come around, I say this cause I don't know how much she liked him, but I would wait accordingly to her "mourning peroid" and not interrupt it. Call me pathetic. Maybe she isn't sad at all and ready to move on, and if she is, I say go for it. Only love once.

Let me offer this advice to you though...

I once had a girlfriend whom I adored. She had an ex that came around everyonce in a while that would say crazy things about her as she would him. I saw them fuss and fight and just knew that I could make things great with her and I. It had to be HIM that was the jerk.

I was wrong. When she was finished with me...I agreed 100% with him. That woman was the devil in disguise.

Sorry to rant...just remember that if she is having a rough time and is still with him...that says something about her. The grass is always greener on the other side.
