Here's the funny thing: I've taken it for weight loss AND weight gain. It sounds like a contradiction but there's a trick to it.
If you take it and you know you're on a diet, and you do the typical diet things like pop an ephedrine and a caffeine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and do some sort of excercise, it's great for reducing appetite, raising your metabolism a notch (nobody's ever really figured out exactly how much it raises metabolism to my knowledge), and giving you energy to workout even when you're not eating a ton.
But if you take it when you're not on a diet, you can still maintain or add weight so long as you making eating a habit and don't say to yourself, "I'm not going to bother eating until I'm really hungry." I wouldn't recommend it as a supplement for weight gain per se, but the point is any bodybuilder can get what they want out of it. I mean, most serious bodybuilders eat out of habit and schedule most of the time anyway, not on a hunger whim.
But basically E&C makes any diet a hell of a lot more bearable. I mean, to me it's pretty hard to wake up on an empty stomach and do any kind of serious excercise while dieting without it.
As far as results, there have been times when I've actually lost way too much weight on it. I mean, I quit eating on schedule and started eating when I was hungry and my calories kept dipping and dipping. Before I knew it I had dropped like 50 pounds, and that's no joke.
But the funny thing is, I've actually taken it while adding weight and gained nearly 50 pounds so long as I put enough calories in my shakes and allowed plenty of cheat meals.
