Best Beer/Alcohol Substitute?

Love the feeling of getting my drink on--hate the calories. (this sounds like the start of a commercial.) Especially hate the 3 pizzas I eat afterward (mostly cuz my perfectionistic tendencies make my eating go to hell when i have any empty calories at all; ie, beer)...

so, if u want to get good and buzzed--or ripped--on a friday night, what's the best non-caloric thing to consume. i've tried phenibut and it did jack for me. looking for something to make one more social, and euphoria is always nice.

lately i'll take a benzo with just a couple beers, but would prefer no calories whatsoever.

Smoke crack,shoot heroin and drop a sheet of acid all while driving a motorcycle chuging on a liter of 195 proof Everclear straight grain alcohol blindfolded.That will give ya a good buzz and its calorie free.

alcohol contributes 7 calories per gram. 1 1/2 ounces of gin-vodka- is around 100 calories. for anyone curiious.

everclear has calories...as much per unit of fucked-up-edness as any vodka...
 
One word...supositories. Don't question my spelling cuz I just shoved one up my ass. I'll tell you this though, it's better than sticking a needle in my o-ring. I'll never do that....again.
 
Definitely GHB or one of its analogs. Great short-lasting alcohol-like buzz, and no hangover whatsoever. Dunno about the calories, but the dose is just a few ml so it couldn't be that many.
 
smoke weed, if you can deal with the munchies. if your bulking then eat.
 
judging from your avatar, you could use a few extra calories, so why worry? and really, its not the calories of alcohol that you should worry about, its the drastic effects of it on protein synthesis that can last for up to a week after drinking. when u slow down your protein synthesis to almost a hault, you workouts for that week are pretty much completely useless.

this is the part of the bodybuilding lifestyle 99% of people cant deal with and is the reason no one gets any bigger. this lifestyle is about a shit load of sacrifice and dedication. if you dont have it, try another sport like lawn bowling

I'd say its the closest thing to being pissed, unfortunately it smells like baby sick and tastes like sea water. Be careful with it tho, to quote someone, "you wont need much, just a teeny tiny taste". Too much and you'll be out cold for a few hours.

Yeah, it was shitty advice, downright stupid. Everybody reacts differently to Xanax. me personally, I weight 182lbs curently and one bar without drinking does me. I black out and lose part of the night, like I was really really drunk and wake up wondering what the fuck happened. And that's Without mixing Xanny's and alcohol. No need for more than half a stick for me. All I can tolerate and have a good (relaxed) time on.
 
weird cuz i weigh 160 and when i take 7 xanax bars thats when i cant remember a few days...by itself that is...with alcohol it all depends how much i drink...xanax has gotten me into some problems ie a few weeks ago i might have fallen asleep 2 times while driving and crashed 2 cars in a 5 minute period...1 xanax bar doesnt do all that much for me

A week? Are you serious? You got any studies? That's a bad time. My B-day, and New Year's will be goin on during my next cycle. i rarely ever drink, but these are 2 of maybe 5x a year I go all out.

I'd like to see them as well if he has them.

I don't think anyone is going to argue that drinking is of benefit to bodybuilding, but as long as you keep it reasonable you'll still be able to make progress. I don't buy for a second that drinking negates your next WEEK of workouts. That would mean drinking once/week would not allow ANY gains whatsoever. I'm sure many of you know people who drink far more often than once/week and still have impressive physiques.
 
how many mg's are the 'bar's' of xanax you guys are referring to? i have the .5mg generics. i know they make much higher. ive taken as much as 2mg before and didnt notice anything bad. Decent for sleeping, thats about it.

Muscle relaxers are another story. They magnify the effect of alcohol tremendously. one muscle relaxer and one beer makes it feel like youve had 2 or 3 beers. For me anyways.

Actually i disagree with that, if you overdo it and black out, when you eventually wake up you ARE left with a shitty feeling, kinda like a weak hangover for a couple of hours, but everyone is different. and a word of advice bro, DONT drink on it because you WILL feel like shit - think a hangover x 10. Also, i overdid it a few years ago on a New Years Eve, fell asleep for a few hours at a party, then woke up, had a few more caps and i couldnt get to sleep for THREE days/nights...!!!! and i drive for a living...just imagine driving/working for 3 days WITHOUT ANY sleep..... not good. Be careful dudes.


@Quadsweep: correct! My favourite film of all time... I bought the Criterion Collection SE dvd last year, awesome dvd, If youre a fan of the film then you HAVE to own it, TONNES of extras with Thompson on set (ALWAYS has a drink with him lol)with Depp and Toro. The best boxset ive ever seen tbh.
 
How bout some cocaine, maybe even some heroin? You could always add some crack in the mix and cut your lines of coke with crystal meth.

do a search on my name. i posted this questions about amonth ago, and there are studies that ulter provided that show exactly what i said.

i know lots of people that have impressive physiques that drink once a week, but that doesnt meant they did since they started working out. i;d like to think i have a somewhat impressive physique, yet i go in cycles of drinking and partying. but when its ON time, my life is all about getting big. when im clean, then i party. but do i make gains when i drink? HELL NO
