Best BB Video?

BOOEY

If you could only have one video related to bodybuilding, what would it be? BESIDES PUMPING IRON, lol, that's the obvious #1 for almost everyone. Need some material to watch, thinking of getting Ronnie Coleman's, not sure which one though. thx

Jay cutlers new one, its really good, and he takes time out to explain what hes doing etc, theres also a good nutrition section in there aswell. Got ronnies aswell, but he does my head in with all his sayings like " hey buddy" and "light weight" when hes training, dont tell him i said that though. If you get it you will see what i mean.

I have two Ronnie Coleman videos "The Unbelievable" and "Redemption"

Definately get The Unbelievable. He actually explains what he does, why he does it, what he eats, why he eats it, etc. You also get to see him at his job, and he tells a few cool anecdotes. For me, I like it when the guy actually talks. I don't want to see some video where he just lifts. In Redemption, he talks a little, but much less. It's basically watching him lift and eat.

It depends on which style you like. If you don't care bout commentary, and want to see lifts, go with Redemption. If you want some nice commentary by Big Ronnie, with some variety, go get Unbelievable.

Watched The Unbelievable (Ronnie) and New, Improved, and Beyond (Cutler). Ronnie's is much better, simply because it's entertaining. It's not just him lifting. You see him eat, at his job, even walking on his treadmill at home. It really gives you a sense of what it takes to be a pro BB and the sacrifices you have to make. Plus, he adds some humor into the mix. Cutler's blows in my opinion. It's just him lifting and showing off his house in Las Vegas. He barely talks and when he does (which is not often) he doesn't say anything worthwhile. ("That's 10 reps for you guys counting at home, so you won't have to rewind." Gimme a break.)

i have a shit load of them. i like cutler new one ripped to shreds. ronnies do have some classic lines though!!

ronnie coleman videos are for pure entertainment purposes only. now whenever i go to the gym i say hey buddy and lightweight all the time just to be a dick... im interested in the marcus ruhl video, i wanna check that one out. i like marcus better than ronnie anyway.besides, all the videos give you some more insight into their lives.

Ive got the Markhus dvd, alot of its in German, spoils it a bit.

Haha, "HEY BUDDY! OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH! LIGHTTTT WEIGHTTT! OOOOOOHHHHHH!"

I also like when says throughout the film, "Good ol chicken!"

does 'Unbelievable' come in DVD? anyone know?

I have both Jays vids and like them very much, Ruhls vid is fun to watch...but he trains on ghetto machines and the whole time hes got a set of nasty ass chapped lips hah

I don't like the coleman video's much; the guy really lifts sloppy/bad form (ok classic one-liners though).I find the preparation video's for the mr Olympics nice, you see a lot of pro's training in their prine leading up to the events. A real good video is Blood and Guts from Dorian Yates, good form and intense training, also M3 from Kevin Levrone. The new one of Markus i didn't like to much, the guy has a freak as his girlfriend but i am not to enthusiastic about his training. Furthermore Dennis James is kinda ok. I don't like the video's from Flex Wheeler, just an arrogant assh$le.

Coleman's Unbelievable is good. funny as hell too. I kind of like Cutler's new one, even thought his talking gets annoying after a while. It's not a BB vid, but I have a DVD from TPS that goes into strongman training tips and advice and shows you in the gym training and implement training.

For entertainment I'd say Flex Wheeler's vid is the funniest.
He constantly refers to himself as the Iron Pimp and has his entourage chanting I.P.! I.P.! as he does his lifts.
He has about 6 guys with him at all times spotting him - it's funny as hell

For training purposes I'd go with Unbelievable as well.

I just watched the first half of Dorian Yates - Blood and Guts. Is it black and white for everyone else also, or is it just my copy? Anyway, it's just him working out, no commentary or anything. Good motivator, but not very entertaining (although his workout partner really gets into his spots "Come on DIESEL! Drive it up! SQEEEEEEEEEZE!")

Definately one of my favourite vids

Since last post I've watched Kevin Levrone's Full Blown, and Markus Ruhl's Made in Germany. Kevin's is very poor. For some reason, it reminded me of after-school specials .. cheesy editing, crappy music, and he tries to be funny, but he's not. Ruhl's is pretty good, although it's mostly in German. He's a freak so it's kinda cool to see him lift, but that bastard sure does use a lot of machines! I wonder if these guys really follow these workouts when they're not being filmed. I could never rely mostly on machines, I would never grow!

No, but I just saw the first half of Dennis James' The Way I Do It. VERY good movie. I'm not a James fan, but this one was done very well. He talks about his pro bb career, his diet, and his training. Some funny parts as well. Can't wait to catch the second half.

my version is color w/ a few black and white scenes. vhs---yes vhs=old school babbbbby :artist:

Watched a Lee Priest video today. Not sure the name, it's the one where they show his wedding in the beginning - also, he's getting ready for the 2002 NOC. It's decent. He doesn't talk much, and you don't see any of his diet, but he is a true bodybuiler - a beast.

The Battle for the Olympia 2003 and 2004 DVD's are the best by far because they show like 10 different guys and are over 6hrs long

I did that once deadlifting in the gym. Now Mick, you and me come from the same part of the world, so you know what I mean when I say that other Bros in the gym don't take kindly to some guy roaring "YA, BABY, YA - LIFT THEM MOTHEFUCKING EASY WEIGHTS"!!! I did it once, but considering everyone was looking at me and laughing, I didn't do it twice!

when youre the hardest working fucker in the gym you can yell whatever you want

I own nearly every BB'ng dvd out, and I still think Jay Cutlers New Improved and Beyind is my fav with Ronnies Unbelievable and Ruhls video best overall entertainment

I was thinking about ordering a Lee Priest video is that the only one? He is really a Beast and one of my favorites!!

"Business as usual!"

Is yours black and white also?

Mine is color. The workout partner is great. The tape shocks viewers
who don't know power like this. It isn't Jazzercise.

"Good weight .... for a small woman."

Lee Haney has an excellent set of tapes divided by body parts.

The worst set I ever got was the "Brutely Huge" tapes.
They were homemade and full of edits.
However, the guy was a monster. He was supposedly doing 2 sets of 6-10 reps, 2 exercises per body part and growing like crazy.

No. he has a few out. I've only seen that one. If you're a Priest fan, you'll like it. I just found it a bit boring in some spots

ronnie coleman "the unbelievable". its funny and crazy. he lifts sick amounts of weight and does shit like eat chicken breasts in his police car instead of pulling people over and does cardio til 2am and gets up at like 630 am. he does 100 yard parking lot lunges and shit with like 185 and the one part hes taking this girl to the police station that he arrested and in the other hand he has a ziplock bag with a bunch of chicken in it.
