bench press question

the reason i posted here is bcoz i have found more of the bros on the anabolic forum are into BB and i wanted an answer from their point of view.
so my question- what bench press technique do u use?
personally, i have been using the PL technique, but since i see so many guys in the gym who keep their elbows away from their bodies and bring the bar down onto their upper pecs i was wondering what the BBs here do. some guy insisted that he could build mass quicker that way.

Actually according to emfg reports the best way to build up the pectorals is by doing low grade dumbbell presses...IIRC the study showed the most activity with decline dumbell pressess...(93) Incline dumbell presses (89) Incline barbell presses (85) and flat bench (83)..Flat bench not really being the most effective way to train for hypertrophy.

However, if you are doing flat bench you'll recruit more of the pectoral by keeping your elbows out and using a smooth strainght line..like right above your nipples.

Could you site a source. The Barnett study looked at flat, incline and decline bench press(not dumbell) and found the decline to least stimulate the pecs, althougth it did stimulate the lats more.
