there is no after picture. this is recent. i'm 5'7" 145 lifting on my bowflex and eating ~3000 cal a day. working on the max-ot program. i've been lifting for 3 weeks and have gained 7-10 lbs. no legs picture but my calves are 14" and thigh 20".
start off slow...also..most guys will be more than willing to spot you..just
be friendly and ask..say thank you.........and dont ask the same guy
set after set.........it gets annoying : )
as long as you are exerting enough energy to stimulte growth in your muscles, bowflex is fine. it's just like using machines instead of free weights. just not as fun as free weights, but you can still get 80-90% of the benefits you would with free weights as long as you're busting your ass.

that rep where you sort of pause in the middle na dhave to press with all ur might to get it up to lockout is your last nonspotted rep.
all you REALLy shoould if even- is asking for a spot when ur trying to make PR's on like 1 or 2 rep maxes and pushing after that last slow rep. and save that for the end of ur last set for the exersise, JOIN A JIM
thanks for the advice. i'm going to stick with the machine. i have gym membership at 24 hour fitness and i plan to go there for squats. other than squats and calf exercises i haven't reached the 210 lbs limit. bowflex is better than other machines where you still have free range of motion. i'll update when i have more considerable gains.
