Before & After....

just hope that this can inspire alot of people out there who think that they cannot get on the right track with fitness and healthy eating to see that if they take a leap of faith just like I did, then it's very possible.Maybe this will also help them to realize that with the drive and determination, reaching thier fitness goals and achieving success is not as far out of thier reach as they think it is. I would like to thank God first then Bill Phillips for paving this road for us to better health.

I'll have better photos taken as soon as I can. The "After" one was taken with my cheap, crummy $99 digital cam 2 days ago. Sorry about that. YUK LOL

Wow! You look wonderful! How long did it take? What was your inspiratation that finally got you motivated?

Raina! I followed the Eating For Life(still do) program by Bill Phillips along with working out 6 days a week( I do 3 days cardio-3 days strengh training) taking Sundays off. I'd say that it took me all together about 7 months and I'm only 4'11 in height. This will be a wonderful way for me to turn 40 next year knowing that there will be less of a risk of me having health trouble 20 years down the road like my father had.He died from complications of diabetes and my blood sugar was sky high before I lost the weight. This was a life decision for me and I was starting to get concerned with my health because of all the weight I had put on. Never again. Oh! I did a whole lot of praying too! :)

Oh! Also a woman named Mina Hobbi was my biggest inspiration to do this and she had twice as much weight(in pounds) to lose as I did. I owe that woman alot. Here is her site:

Check out her before and after photo! Amazing!

Congrats on your achievements & your grabbing control of the quality of life that you should have the right to!

I did my 3rd bodybuilding show just before I turned 40 and I still think I'm in better shape than I've been in my whole life. I fully intend to ride a Harley, wear leathers & listen to old heavy metal when I'm 90. If all I have to look forward to is sitting in a nursing home drooling on myself, what's the point?

Amen to that! I would like a little more muscle and I need to work on a bit more toning . I may get a personal trainer for that. There's a great one at my gym and he does alot of bodybuilding competitions. Yes I'm damn proud of what I've accomplished so far. That's for sure!
