When i was 16 i got in trouble with customs for importing something (legal in US, illegal in AUS), i was immature and ignorant at the time so didnt know what i was doing. Anyway customs caught me i needed to go to a type of customs court. So i got off with a warning. Next time however they told me i would be in a lot of shit.

I want to go on my first cycle (mail order)... but am worried because of my previous problem with customs. Do you think i need to be more cautious because of this?

depending on the size of packages, # of packages, kind of packages they come in. ask how he packages them. only a small percentage gets taken by customs

See if it's possible to locate a re-mailer that would be domestic to you. I'm not sure if you would be on any sort of watch list because of the previous incident, but it never hurts to take the extra precautions

well the australian customs are TIGHT as hell, there's a 10% chance you'll get caught. You will get away with it with no doubt as long as you don't keep gear at home

in the us age 18 and under records are sealed and no one has access to them i think i saw that on a tlc show

Damn right he is on a "watch list." Not only his name but the address and any address with his name on it in the future. I say it all the time ...... do whatever it takes to remain ANONYMOUS!!! Its really not that hard.

Wonder how many people log into this forum with their real IP? Bad bad bad!! Always use a proxy , especially if you post alot.

I am working on several tutorials to help you guys stay safe. However I will not hold anyones hand, you must do a little legwork.

Loaded Da Vinci Code

Australian customs officers found more than an interesting read when they intercepted a copy of the best-selling novel, The Da Vinci Code, sent from overseas.

The book, mailed from London to Sydney, contained twelve vials of performance enhancing anabolic steroids, Australian Customs Services spokesman Simon Latimer said today. The paperback book had four sections cut out from the pages in which the vials were hidden, he said.

Customs officers detected the illegal substance on February 23 and executed a search warrant on a Surry Hills residence. Four more vials of anabolic steroids were allegedly found at the premises during the March 11 raid.

A second package also was intercepted on its way to the same address and 18 more vials of the substance were found.

Mr Latimer said a Surry Hills man faced two charges of importing prohibited imports and one of possessing a prohibited import. He was yet to be summonsed to court. The maximum penalty on each charge is $110,000.

"There are some quite ingenious methods of concealment attempted by people," Mr Latimer said. "I can comment specifically how frequently it happens inside a book but it's been done before.

"It just struck us somewhat ironic that it was done inside The Da Vinci Code." The Da Vinci Code has been on the New York Times Bestseller List since its release in April 2003. It tells a tale of a conspiracy theory, that a secret sect has left a code in several art works which holds the truth about Jesus Christ.

Mr Latimer said all international mail coming into the country was "assessed for potential risk" and then investigated further if found to be suspicious. He could not however comment on why this particular parcel came to the attention of the authorities because he did not want to give the game away to potential offenders.

Justice Minister Chris Ellison said the case served as a strong warning to offenders. "This bust sends a strong reminder that Customs screens 100 per cent of all international mail arriving in Australia," he said.
