Bed time?

So at work we're caring for some 9-12 year olds, several of us are conflicting on bedtimes, at what times should you guys think they should go to bed, on a school night, based on their age?

My 8 yr old son's bedtime is 8-8:30 on school nights.

Although, I do let him watch a movie in bed. He usually falls asleep right away though.
