beating steroid drug tests

New member
Anyone got some literature on how athletes are beating the tests at the college and pro level? thanks.

You and the Pool guy should hook up.

You would have to know how long some drugs stay in the system.

This is one thing that I am not going to research.

What I do know is that in a recent New Scientist, one of the scientists who has been with the IOC drug testing panel has been looking at routine blood work of those who have been on performance enhancing drugs and those that haven't in a BIG PUSH to eliminate 'cheating'.

The question really is, why do you want to know?

I think that the majority of them cycle during the off season, and then pray that they won't get popped on a "random" test.....depending on the sport, and level (collegiate, pro, etc) random tests can be rare....

YOU have to know what each drugs half lifes and clearance times are and go from there.

In college, I always knew I was going to be tested before SECs/Nationals, so I would make sure I was taking nothing but testosterone and maybe EPO, GH, etc, which they wouldn't test for anyway. At elite level, depending on your sport, you might be able to get away with low dose test. proprionate at the time of a test, but not if they have made the switch to carbon ratio isotope testing which can determine synthetic from organic testosterone. If that's the case, designer steroids or try testosterone cream - or you move up to GH/IGF-1, Insulin, etc.

But, yeah, know you clearance times, too!

BTW, there will be physiolgical variances in clearance times due to the nature of the different types of cytochrome systems in the mitochondria in the liver, and renal function

Not everyone is the same
