I was hoping you people would be mature enough but the shit slinging has started so now I'm going to have to step in.

That's because Lyle Alzado was actually born a woman named Elly Dazola. She was a tomboy in grade school, a standout athlete in high school, and then she got to college.
At that point she had breasts and a fat tush. But she said "fuck it." She went full bore on the highly androgenic compounds, melted away all that unsightly fat, and joined the football team at Yankton College. Ever heard of it? Probably not. Their claim to fame is that "Lyle Alzado" went there. You think she could have pulled this stunt at Michigan State?

Well as her collegiate career progressed Elly and her coaches realized that she was the real deal. Her teammates and coaches and even the school administration were so supportive, and they seemed so excited, so she just went along--she was in too deep already anyway.

Long story short: what killed Lyle Alzado was uterine cancer. Not caused by steroids, or hgh, or recreational drugs. Just a regular medical condition that can kill any woman.
