Grip usually gives out on these if I go real heavy. But with straps (I know, blasphemer) I can do 315 for about 5.

Well, sorry, I lied to you guys. I am calling bullshit on myself. Did some bent over rows, and I could not get 315 for 5. I must have been dreaming when I typed the original message.

More like a sloppy 315 for 1.

still more than most bench- be proud, you can bent over row what i can deadlift for a few reps. Just make sure your Bent over row doesnt surpass your deadlift

Pyramiding (and after pull-ups) with reverse grip to 205 x 5 on my third set (after two higher rep sets to failure). However, the last two weeks I've felt a "streak" of stress run up through my biceps on the first rep or two on this set. I have a wide grip and don't put much in my biceps but it's enough to spook me again. So, it's back to overhand grip for a while!

:spin:

when i pulled my hamstring about a year ago exact, i never rehabbed it right and whenever i try bentover rows and some other lifts, i feel it and it hurts...wish i could work past this. so i end up using a big long thing you put weights on the end..i consider it a machine so #s dont matter to me on that

Sadly, my row is not far removed from my deadlift. I have very whimpy deadlift muscles. I wish I could deadlift in the same multiples of my bodyweight that you can do. Stick with it, and you can really do some special things.

I just recently widened my grip on barbell rows to give me a new feeling. My lats got pretty sore from using a wider grip. I bend my torso at 45-55 degrees when performing these. A typical workout might be like this:

warmup: 135lbs x 12,
building sets: 225lbs x 10, 250lbs x 8, 275lbs x 6

im sure if you worked on it, you could do really well pulling. You act as though your dl, and squat are nothing, when they are actually pretty hight. What do you dead now, - mid to high 4's? , and what do you squat? i remember reading about a 600lb highbox squat. Thats pretty damn impressive.. considering your a bench specialist.

The day before the dr. cut my lat in half I did 315x4 ..fucker cut my back up...my best bdyprt...couldn't have cut my calfs in halve...they suck anyway.

What is wrong with cheat rows? :)

I am unhappy with my depth on the squats right now. I did a high box squat a while back with 625. The box was actually a bench. Standard height. Whatever height that is.

And the deadlift sucks and probably always will but I am pulling around 450 or a bit less.

I realize these are more than the average guy on the street, but real honest to goodness powerlifters who bench 500 plus are pulling 600 plus and squatting 700 plus, maybe more on the deadlift and squat.
