Actually looks really legit. Awesome trailer.

Looks like the trailer from Skyline. I mean, it's slick and tight, just like others in this genre, but nothing I've not seen before.

Looks good...one question though, is that Michelle Rodriguez in it?

I cant watch another movie with her in it playing the exact same sneering tough girl character.

Judging solely by the trailer, this one promises better acting, directing, and production values than Skyline.

Skyline's intended to be a special effects driven B-movie experience.

Whats funny is that Sony (the studio behind this movie) are suing the two guys who made Skyline as they hired them to do the special effects on Battle: Los Angeles.

So naturally they had access to all of the films ideas, action beats, etc...and then they went out and made their own movie with a similar storyline and released it 4 months earlier.

Ooo, not a very smooth career move if they want to continue working in Hollywood. You can find very competent cgi guys in every little hamlet across the world. lol

Haha, that's awesome. No wonder they made Skyline in a year.....

D9 was a good movie too. People with IQ's less than 50 don't get it. At least we know who those folks are now. Losers.

They don't care. They can profit out from a cool $50M win at box office the first weekend and never have to work another day in their lives. I don't know too many cgi guys who can say that.

It's all about making money NOW.

I was thinking that earlier

Wonder what Skyline earns this opening weekend...

not sure. I do know they sure don't have the marketing budget & muscle of sony. So hard to say. the cgi looks badass from what I saw. Too many lens flares though - looks too michael bayish/jj abrams.

I almost *almost* forced my lady to watch it w/ me this weekend, decided against it for some good food (and booze) instead.

It had enough hype to make some money tho I'm thinking....

Yeah, let's not let integrity be part of the equation, ever.

lol @ expecting anything other than the standard reply from bakemeanav.

And Skyline is supposedly one of the worst movies ever. Itll make money this weekend (their total budget was around $20 million), but after that dont expect it to do too much.

So yeah, looks like it's going to make about $12 million for the weekend. The budget outside of special effects was only $500k, so LOL @ suggesting these guys will never have to work again. Typical.

Say it does only make 12 mill the first weekend, there's the rest of the time it's in the theaters, foreign viewing, DVDs, etc.

They probably wouldn't have to work again if they didn't want to make more money...but who doesn't want to make more anyways?

Damn that looks good.

Look what the cat dragged in :wavey:

I wanna see an alien invasion movie where the aliens kick our ass. Like, what would actually happen if we were really invaded by some bad ass aliens.
