Batman wasn't that good

Evreyone kept saying Batman Beginning is the best but I don't know. I think the first may have still beat it. I'll have to watch it a second time to verify my thoughts. As of right now, I'm regretting buying instead of renting

Bale rocks

first is good. I am on the wall for this debate. But you cant deny this batman was great, and Bale is incredible, not just as batman but as an actor overall.

theyre both good - original batman is quite good despite being made in the 80s, though i have to say, im a sucker for the cgi, special effects and cinematography in newer films...so i think batman begins is prettier, and a bit more immersive

dont feel bad about buying it...where i live, if you buy a dvd at a decent price then compare that to renting it and paying fuel costs to get it then return it, it works out similarly

Regardless if it was better than the first or not it was a dam good movie. I may have to purchase. That and Sin City (Mostly for Alba :p )

wow, I thought Begins was far and away the best comic book based movie I've seen

I thought it blew the first Batman away. I like Michael Keaton, but I think Christian Bale shits all over him as Batman.

Maybe it's because I still picture Michael Keaton in "Mr. Mom" and I just can't get past that. :P

IMHO, the first two Batman movies were both stolen by someone *other* than Batman (Jack and MIchelle Pfeiffer)

just MHO, of course.

Definitely.

It all comes down to the directors. Christopher Nolan > Tim Burton in every aspect.

I was disappointed

probably due to all the hype and praises from everyone. I waited a couple weeks to go see it.

This is usually how movies are - the more hype = the more let down.

Best Batman film ever, hell its my favorite comic book adaptation movie to date.

its going to be a better series IMO than the previous. The previous series started off ok, but fizzled when Ahnold turned into Mr. Freeze and Batman kept changing actors. If they can hold on to Bale this will be a good series. Last rumor I heard was Sean Penn as Joker.
