But if you're serious the answer depends on your email client. Compose a new message then look for a button that reads "attachment" or "attach file", click it, then search for your Word doc.

like anya said, save the file to your desktop or somewhere you will be able to find the file. Hit the attchmt button locate the file, click on the file adding it to your email, and hit send.
