I am in the process of hooking up a home gym of sorts. I have to buy an olympic barbell. The question is, where do I find one that will support over 400+ lbs consistantly?

Just take one from your pansy ass gym
lol... Most places sell them on the internet, and actually go to a few posh gyms the usually sell the old ones they have cause the yuppies don't want to work out with used blood splattered bar

the ProElite bar is good for oly lifts but they may mean it might not have the centre knurling, which you don't want for cleans
If you gonna get plates, might as well well get a set of bumpers to go along with that
But BFS sell a package deal of 300-400- 500lb worth of regular plates with the bars
you probbaly want a bar with >100,000 PSI yeild strength. BFS have these and more
