Bands irritate skin

Does anyone have this problem? Every time I use bands they sting my skin like crazy. I don't know if it's an allergic reaction or what. Even after I wash my skin, it stings for a while.

you might be allergic to latex. if so, you'd have similar reaction from latex gloves or condoms.

Mike. . .what if you wear sweats while you train? Keep the bands away from the skin.

Sounds like an allergic reaction.

I had the same problem with mine. I just wiped them down with alcohol and witchhazel to remove some of the oils, and it was ok. Used to break my neck out really bad. I also keep a hand towel around and wrap it (like for GMs).

wont the alcohol and witch hazel dry the bands out and cause them to break?

I used the alcohol to clean them just once because I was worried about that too. The with hazel removed the oil but doesn't seem to dry them. It's possible though. Mine seem to be ok.
