Bad shot? Missed?

Is it possible to "miss" the muscle in your glute when giving a shot? This morning I buried the 1 1/2 inche needle but didn't feel it hit the muscle. What can happen? Did I waste a shot if I missed?

Sometimes you'll feel it sometimes you dont.
It went in your body so I dont think you wasted anything.

You injected in the muscle trust me. Today I hit a nerve in my leg while injecting into my quad and my whole body twitched and I nearly threw the needle across the room. It didn't even hurt, but it sure did surpirise the shit out of me. I wish every shot could be what your shot was like.

no shit, painless shots are very key. Sometimes you get them and sometimes you dont. Its like a 50/50 all the time. I get a kick out of it and sometimes even bet with myself to see if I will feel it, dont ask me why but sometimes I do.

I always screw shots i my delt. They hurt and then I get a big bump that freaks my wife out!!!

My glute shots have hurt lately probably cause I keep hitting veins. My butt was sore for a week once.

Ok, question.... why does it hurt when a nurse gives you a shot at the doctors office, yet when you shoot yourself, it seldom feels that bad?

I can remember my first cycle... I am standing there holding the syringe, contemplating the injection for like 15 min. I didn't want to do it... then after I finally did it... it didn't even hurt... no problems since!

I had a gusher this morning in my quad, I could feel that I hit a vein so I pulled out to start over & blood shot all over the kitchen floor.Gotta love those
