Bad Injection....I need help

I injected in my quad and I took the needle out and some blood came out, but I now have a grape sized lump under the skin.

Its not really painful, but in hundreds of injections this never happened.

Is it just blood trapped under the skin?

If so, will it go way, or turn into an abcess??

I used alcohol pads, new needle, and sterilized my hands.

Whats the word??

You're fine. I've (unfortunately) done this many times. Assuming you aspirated before injecting and no blood came up, you most likely went THROUGH a vein on your way in and when you pulled out, the blood came out the opening and as the opening closed, the vein collapsed and blood collected under the skin. Just keep an eye on it but like I said it's happened to me and I'm 99.9% sure you'll be fine.

In fact, once when in Mexico on vaca all they had in the pharmacy were 18 g needles and i did a few quad pins...you wanna talk about blood shooting out. I thought I hit a friggin artery. Never doin that shit again.

more than likely it is just swelling you probably passed through a vein or grazed a nerve that caused irritation and made it swell don’t rub it or put any pressure on it... it should get smaller over time...

I actually think its blood. Its not sore, but the whole closed up quick and the blood couldnt get out.

I am just leaving it alone for now. I will update later

Bro, you wil be just fine, it sounds like you have a little hematoma, which will absorb into the surrounding tissue within the week, no biggy.

Just watch for signs of infection (erythema, pain, swelling, heat)...most likely nothing.
