Well I got back 2 days ago, and spending time with soon to be(in a few hours)my wife and son...My mom and aunt were nice enough to fly up here with them and are helping us get a place to live, bought my 1st vehicle yesterday (02 Santa fe) and will be searching for a apt to move into...We were lucky enough to get released till monday when we start our inprocessing...I must say spending 21hrs in the air the last couple of days was a pain, but thank god Miami air gave us 2 free beers a piece once we left Krygstan(sp?) and air terminal in Bucharest Romania had Plenty of fresh beer and liquor to serve our happy selves....Hope everyone is doing good, I'll have more to post tonight or 2morrow

Welcome back man!!!!

Right on, mang

from TX stationed in AK

Well Romanian women working at the airport we were at were FINE!!

25th ID out of Hawaii is jacked up with all the stupid rules, and Marines having a little dance party after some of their guys were killed kinda pissed me off...

I have to take off to go look at apartments right now, I'll be back later to post a few stories for everyones entertainment

This should be a sticky. Unless I'm wrong this guy was over there risking his ass for what what many would say is "the freedom of the USA" (though I'd just call it risking his ass period). I think the majority of this chat board are Americans and we should show some sort of solid appreciation for what he has done even if we don't agree for the reasons he was there.

Welcome back!!! Glad you are home safe and sound....

Good health and happiness always to you and your new family as you start out your lives together - patience, trust, kindness, friendship and the strength to weather the storm.

:)

Good to hear you are back bruh. Hopefully you dont have to go anywhere else dangerous but if you do, Godspeed.
I start at your old school in a few weeks, should be good times.

uh wtf. You don't agree with the reasons he was in Afghanistan? Who are you, Michael Moore?

Welcome back!! Thank you for your service..... and I'm glad to see you made it back...

Great news Bor. Well done sir and welcome back.

All of us pussies back home owe you and your buddies more than we could ever repay. We're all proud of the job you guys did.

Welcome back, you courageous patriot.
You have done what millions of us could not do.

I hope you get some good tail, you sure as hell deserve it

Congradulations!
:bikinimom :elephant: :three:

thankyou very much everyone for all the support....I have to go in to work in an hr to start inprocessing and handling those loose ends...Got married on Thursday, bought a 02 Hyandi Santa Fe on Wed, and trying to get into an apt near post on this week. Lucky for us my mom and aunt flew up with her and our son and are putting us up in this nice hotel till we get a place.

Yes I kissed the ground just not soon as I got off the plane, thought the media would have been bugging me had I done that. My little boy is doing well, will turn 1 month this tuesday and he's up to about 10lbs and already getting 5-7 hrs sleep at night

well gotta jet, will report back in soon

welcome home bro. :)

I'm thinking he will have a little brother or sister in about 10 months. :)

May I ask how much your(being a marine or what not) income increases for being down there in a war? Hazard pay or whatever it’s called

welcome back brotha

well hopefully he wont have another brother or sister for 3-5 years lol, things are going to be stretched enough :)

well I paid no income tax while I was over there so every 2 weeks I made about $1190 which includes being paid for seperate rations, my $150 a month I made for collecting jump pay, about $250 a month in hazard duty pay. Not paying Income tax is the only real break we got as single soldiers now had I been married I would have been making alot more

Now had I been in the AF I would have made some good money just for the Substandard living pay those guys were getting I can't remember what our TACP guys were getting paid for it but it exceded what I made and thats comparing an E-3(af guy) to me the army guy at E-4 pay
