B-ball player arrested for torturing roommate

How many of them can read or balance a check book???

I see them on TV sometimes acting like caged animals.. fuckin Dennis Rodman... if he was not such a side show what could he do?? He is a mental midget.

fuck that.. I would rather not be rich and classed with those pieces of shit.

I was speaking from an economic standpoint...

Besides Dballer, we are both classless caged animals ourselves..

Although I already stated this.......

The guys leaving early GENERALLY arent making league minimum... They are leaving early because they will be high draft picks...

They are not making the leage mimimum..

Even with your flawed logic in place though..... USING THE EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE numbers that you provide...

Unless they can make 500+ K in the next 2.4 years... It is still more feasible to enter the draft, maek the money and go back..

If you would like me to site the examples I can ASSURE you that the contracts the cincy players are signing for are 5 million + on average..

Bro,

You;re using extreme examples to bolster an argument that you know nothing about. Nothing.

I playde major college basketball..some ESPN games and shit. Like every other kid I wanted to play in the league. Didn't work out, maybe could have if I went to europe and battled it out a few years. But I digress.....

The overwhelming majority of Division 1 basketball players don't have a chance in hell at the pros. Most of them don't academically belong in college, fail miserably, get C's to stay eligible. After 4 years, they are 35 credits short of a degree and the scholarship has run out.

So they are screwed. Some occasionally play overseas, but the money sucks and so does the lifestyle., Most go back home, and do a whole lot of nothing for the rest of their lives. I know these guys. I know the situations.

If you talk about the occasional superstar that makes huge bucks, you miss the real issue. Take the average annual income of all players who leave college basketball annually, for the draft, or because their eligibility expired. That would be a number you can deal with accurately.

The NCAA screws more kids than you could ever believe.

Ok guys, I am not some shmoe who doesnt understand economics or college or pro sports....

This issue was first brought up we were discussing UNiversity of Cincy players.... thene went on to cincy players who declare their eligibility for draft. I dont know where you guys are finding your informtion,..... If someone would do a simple search and track down the cincy players that left early , we coul do lookups n their contracts.... no matter how you want to try to skew this.. Those PLAYERS ARE WAY BETTER OFF TAKING THEIR CHANCES with the draft from a economic standpoint..

It isnt even going to be close .... which Is whu I find it difficult to believe that you guys are saying this....

I mean, it isnt even going to be close.

I will do it tomorrow when I have more time, but I can guarantee that you will be VER VERY surprised.

Out of the 11 or so guys on Cincy's team every year, how many make the NBA? How many of those that make it play more than a couple of years. The point is that most of them don't make the NBA. None of them graduate. The Yankees may be overrated (?), but an education isn't. I've never played professional sports and for the past two years, my comp plan has given me the opportunity to make what Natymike quoted as the NBA league minimum.

Besides that, i'm not tying up roommates and beating them (unless my wife and I have had a few glasses of wine), shooting my pregnant fiancee or killing an innocent limo driver and trying to make his family think he committed suicide.

I am not arguing that these guys are pillars of our community, but that is going to be true regardless of the fact...

These guys have opportunities to make ridiculuosly large amounts of money......

Everyone here keeps on widening the scope, I mean if we are going to have the scope so laege that we include every child in middle schools across the usa.... Yes, then your logic is fine...

But we arent, we are talkin about HIGHLY SKILLED BASKETBALL PLAYERS at CINCINATTI... Of this group an extremly high amount like 50% OR MORE have played in the NBA. A few Years agao, their entire starting 5 was drafted!

Also, you cant believe the NCAAA bullshit propoganda that they arent graduating....

Here is a little known fact.... Many Players have ACTUALLY GRADUATED,..... the ncaa DOES NOT COUNT THESE PLAYERS!!!!!

tHIS IS FOR MANY REASONS.....

!. THEY DONT COUNT JUCO TRANSFERS--- If a player is frm a juco and graduates in regular 4 years... THEY DONT COUNT!!!
2. if a player graduates after he has entered the draft--- THEY DONT COUNT

People look at the ncaa stats and see-- Holy Shit CINCY doesnt graduate anyone..... But in actuallity the graduate a HIGH amount of their players..

They are doing just fine... and I will point this out to you guys tomorrow when I have more time....

You guys have just bought into a SHITLOAD of propaganda trying to keep th players in school..... I will unravel it for you tomorrow.

Time out!

Wow fellas! I didn't mean to open a big can of worms here. My whole point with posting this was only that here was another example of a big time athlete with more opportunities given to him than you can shake a stick at & sure as shit he screws it up....repeatedly. If that would have been you or me you can bet your ass that we'd be sitting in a jail cell right now....& probably for a long time. It'll be interesting to see what happens now.

You are missing the point.... THIS THREAD WAS FOR CINCY PLAYERS, MORE SPECICALLY CINCY PLAYERS THAT declared themselves eligble for the draft... That is the number we are wroking with..... Next you will want it to include every college student in the country!

I know you are an intelligent guy, we have bebated intelligently before.... I think you are just missing the boat on this one... I will show you tomorrow, when i have more time... Just how really wrong you are...

I know the facts-- I did a essay on this VERY subject in college.. ( Where I too, was playing division 1 football.

Just trust me on this one, you are going to be VERY SURPRISED.
