Hey, bro. I've been doing B12 for a while now and I've always done them IM. I've actually never heard of doing them SC. I do 1ml which is 1000mcg (note that's micrograms and not milligrams), with a 1" long, 25g pin. If you've never done an IM shot before you need to know some more things like preping it with alcohol and aspirating. It's best if you can get someone like a nurse to give you the first one and just observe and learn. hth

It has to be injected into a muscle. Just like AS.

You live in Canada, so getting B-12 OTC will not be a problem. The majority of pharmacies sell a 10ml bottle for $8.

Good luck with it.

It's my understanding B12 will increase your appetite, not a desired state if you're trying to lose weight.

People often times report increased appetite with B-12.

Both are correct, my appetite increases but I don't gain additional weight. I always assumed this was because of an enhanced metabolism. So it balances out in the end anyway. But I feel better on it so I do it.

In Cattle, B12 can be given IM or SQ so I guess it would probably be the same with humans. I guess it would release slower if that is your goal. I have done B12 injection before using vet B12 IM with no prob. I used a 1/2" insulin pin and depressed the hub of the needle into the skin to get a good 3/4" deep probably. Worked fine for me. I question whether any appettitle stimulation (what I was taking it for) was seen (1ml ed). The one I used was:

B-Complex-Plus by Agrilabs (250 ml bottle)

Thiamine HCL (B1)....... 12.5mg
Niacinamide...................12.5mg
Pyridoxine HCL (B6).......5.0mg
Riboflavin (B2)................2.0mg
Cyanocobalamin (B12)...1000mcg

"consumption or injection of such large doses (1 gram) as have been reported in the literature for vitamin B-12 is without logic and without proven beneficial outcomes. Unless someone has a genetic predisposition to B-12 malabsorption...There is no evidence that vitamin B-12 or B-12 derivatives have any beneficial impact on muscular development or on improvements in strength."
