good thing no one has started up horsefax.com.... might be a deal breaker!

man... at our old stable, one of the horses kicked his leg between the water piping for his drinking fountain and the fence, this happened in winter late at night and by morning the water had frozen his leg into the fence, one of the worst sites I've seen

... another nasty one is the ridiculous amount blood that spews out of the horses nose when the vets pull out the oil tube (which they use when they colic.)

I was freaked when I got there... got a call early Sun morn, and was in a hurry to get there, seemed he got his leg caught in a very small fence and couldn't get out. Seemingly he'd been there all night due to the amt of manure there and how fast he headed to the water trough when he was let free. His leg is about 2 times normal size and poor thing still goes from right to left to right distributing weight due to his other leg being tired. His pain is obvious to me, you can see it in his eyes.

I'm a sucker for animals, and the care of them. I have a really soft heart when it comes to them. He is one of my babies that I take care of day end and out, everyday. To see him like this tears me up... to have to brush his skin and take care of the wound kills me. Hes a DAMN GOOD HORSE, worth over 30k... damn good horse!!!!!!!!!!! He's been a trooper though... so today he gets extra apples and lov'n

My freshman year in college I lived across the hall from a girl on the riding team.
She got paid $50 an hour to jerk off the horses.
I had sex with her.
That is all.

so, is there any bone damage? are you still planning on turning him for sale?

well... we were leasing one of Hap Hansen's horses and the damn thing was HIGHLY prone to colic, I think 5 times in a year... and my gf is a horse GURU... this horse would colic for ABSOLUTELY no reason... always cooled down, never fed immediately after exercise, never overfed, just genetically prone, every vet was mystified (as was I after seeing how much equine vets are paid)

yea... gonna heal him up hopefully. Vet seems to think there is NO bone damage (whew) and if the wound is taken care of properly hopefully no tissue damange. Worried more about the blood that was trapped when he was stuck in the fence and the toxins released into his blood stream right after he was cut out. He has an intense realease of acid built up in that muscle and will no doubt be really sore, we are expecting that. Hopefully, lots of time and caring and love will pull him thru. I'm there three times a day helping as much as possible. He's NO dud horse that is for sure, him getting better and being able to run again is more important to me than any dollar amt and put down on it.

He is not our horse but i've cared for him for over 6mts now, bathing, walking, riding, runnigng, feeding, cleaning his stall, etc... Hes actually like a kid at times. When I walk up to the gate he meets me there and really nuzzles his head on my shoulder and gives me a hug. Its adorable, never ever really thought a horse to have such character.

lol @ "laps"

its lapse sweetie

ah shush you... mind is now researching what I can do to help this horse heal the fastest way possible, a bidder to come by in a few weeks to look at him and there is no way we will get the asking price with him in this condition.

I'll be walking him a bit today and doing some thearpy to work out the muscles a bit, hopefully I don't get a horeshoe to the cheek by accident (thats my luck) but gonna get him back to normal as soon as possible so we can get him on the road and be able to show his poteintial
