download the entire poughkeepsie 97 show. maynard's voice is so fucking clear for a bootleg. it is probably the best bootleg i've heard of them.

also, download the prison sex performed at the electric factory in 1996. it has a a beautiful extra stanza added in it.

yeah, sign up at the tool hub (darktooth already posted the url). it will take a few days to get your membership confirmed, but the wait is well worth it. this place has pretty much every fucking show.

i really hope you arent selling bootlegs of tool. ripping them off would be a bad thing.

not too sure here but i think downloading bootlegs is just as bad bud.....they're still not making any money off of you viewing their art.....the main reason why they DONT allow cameras at the show.

this is how i look at it. i have purchased every cd/dvd they have put out, and i have also attended every show that has been in my area. i dont think listening to bootlegs is a bad thing. i only consider it a bad thing if you are selling bootlegs of their albums or shows and thus profiting off of it. plus, even the official 'unofficial' tool site (that maynard even posts on and is friends of the owner) has links to sites that have bootlegs on it.

A lot of people take this stand, the thing is most of them don't know how to make serious bank doing it. If they did, I think they'd change their stance.

Anyway, as I was saying: DAMN those bastards who exploit their favorite bands and a variety of other artists they don't like to make a couple thousand dollars a week, or $750-1500 on a slow week. DAMN THEM!!

hey thats cool with me.....ive also purchased every cd/dvd they have put out and have attended shows im my area as well as in the states for a fun road trip. But i dont use that to justify my downloading shows off the internet. I dont have to justify it to anyone cause i dont judge others that do the same or similar ( like actually selling the bootlegs). I just dont think YOU should be the guy telling him he cant make money off of tool when your the author of a thread titled "AWESOME tool bootlegs".....

ummm i didnt say you were.....u4ik is i thought but hey whatever....my point is who are you to say " i really hope you aren't selling bootlegs of tool" when youre watching them.

on another note i am eagerly anticipating the DVD release of the live shows in this past tour....some footage i saw when i went to the east lansing show.....it should include THIRD EYE and OPIATE as well as THE PATIENT and then the set that they played standard in the first leg of the tour.....pretty awesome, im sure youre waiting for it too.
