awesome bench workout

raw warmups; 45x10, 135x10, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3

shirt on: 315x3, 335x3, 350x3, 365x2, 385x1, 385x1, 385x1

5 board: 315x3, 350x3, 365x3, 405x3 (PR woot!)

4 board: 315x3, 350x3, 365x3, 390x0(too cold but wouldve had it if board holder wasnt in the way)

decline DB exts: 35s x 12, 45s x 12, 50s x 5

today was pretty good. went to a commercial gym (10 bucks for a 1 day pass.. do'oh!) but i met my bodybuilder friend and some PL guys i knew that graduated. i havent seen them since when i saw them in the school weight room

they spotted me/lifted off and we talked for a bit. they actually compete and are pretty damn good..i now have some workout partners. the only bad part was we talked TOO much. i ended up taking a 20-25 minute rest between sets on my last set of board presses..cant get in that habit

now i have to get a job to pay to lift there and juggle school and lifting with each other. not that school is hard or anything, but its 40 hrs a week about
 
karins double denim. way too loose though. i have had it altered twice and its been loose both times. im going to have to gain weight to get it to fit tight

my form is picking up with these guys telling me what to do, how to stay in groove, etc. i actually used really good leg drive today
 
post workout meal:

2 roast beef sandwiches on big brown buns
2 cups potato salad
1 glass chocolate malt milk
1 cup mixed M&Ms and peanuts
1 glass water
 
lol, my aunt is having a baby shower so they had a bunch of food sitting out. i just grabbed whatever was there
 
i've already hit 405 in a meet.. i want mid to high 400s on january 24 in bill carpenter's APF meet in dubuque, then i want 500 for sure on april 4 at wisconsins best bench
 
Jeremy, how long have you been training with that DD? And do you feel like you learn to use it better the more that you train with it?
 
i have been training with it for about half a year

i feel that i'm not actually learning anything like i should be. im just kinda doing the reps. thats not the way its supposed to be but my shirt never fits right. very loose. there's almost no 'groove'. i'll have to keep gaining (clean) weight and see how that helps
