Avoiding ice crystals

I love my ice-cream like shakes

The only problem is that they have crystals in it instead of being smooth

How do you avoid ice crystals when making "shakes - ice cream" ?
 
let the ice cream melt a bit first
not sure exactly what you are putting in them
lol if all else fails a bit of booze helps

it is almost christmas after all
 
It is not true ice cream (I wish I could use real full fat cream lol)

It is protein powder + skim milk/yogurt + cocoa powder + coconut cream + almond butter + guar/xantham gum

after a few hours in the freezer it's not too bad except for the ice crystals

you need some sort of antifreeze
booze
sugar
egg yolks

and perhaps use a real ice cream maker
the stirring does help reduce the ice crystals

no prob bor
classic ice cream is made with egg yolks
it is an emulsifier
you slowly cook it with the basic liquid over very low heat til thick then put in ice cream freezer

re-reading your list of ingredients
you could also minimize ice crystals by using full fatted cream instead of skim milk
