Avacado plants.

Did you grow em from seed? I tried it once over the summer, but I got nothing....

Yes. Put them in a pot that doesn't drain. Keep the very top of the seed exposed. And keep it wet. Like really wet. They must like to grow in mud or something. It takes a few months for them to spout.

Do you know how to do cuttings? I tried and used rooting hormones and everything, but it didnt work. I have an apricot and pomegranate trees that I'd like to make some indoor plants from.

Only with vines. And they are almost impossible to kill. Never anything else though. I have a prayer plant that is dying cause my wife's former roomate's filthy ass cats clawed it to death. Its in a coffee cup with water and plant food right now. Its growing new leaves but it doesn't seem like the type of plant that roots in water. so eventually I think its done for. :(

I have some jasmine vines in the back......but I think they stink, so no propogating them......

there's a way to grow them that's very easy.
take the pit and poke three holes around the perimeter (with a knife or drill). insert toothpicks and put it on top of a drinking glass (pointy side of the pit goes up).
fill the glass with water so it touches the bottom of the pit (always keep enough water in it). within a few weeks you'll have major roots.
