anyone on the board from Austin? I'm considering taking a job down there and been researching the city. Figured it would be helpful talking to people from there about certain areas took look for an apartment and such things like that. I remember a guy by a name i cant remember, but awhile ago i use to read his threads about getting into fights at the bars and such.

Would be another great resource of information combined with all the other research im doing on my own, if i could get some feedback on here.

I lived there back in the early eighties when I went to UT. It has always been my favorite town and I go back at least once a year. I am going in April to watch the Texas Relays and see some friends.

Great weather, sports atmosphere, UT, world-class live music scene, beautiful women, state capital, awesome restaurants.

Can't beat it.

Yeah I hear good things. I'd be going alone which is scary, but i hear the people are friendly, woman are beutiful and it's considered the singles capital of the world aswell as the live music capital that they advertise.
