I know you don't exist on this forum. I've been on this conference from work for the last 4 hours. I missed the Denver game, sounds like we rocked out with our cock out though.

*chirp*

ravens looking good. hopefully you guys beat up the pats next week

ray rice saved my fantasy season today. About fuckin time though. wasted my 3rd pick on that ngr

lol @ there being other ravens fans here

lol@ denver

pats are gonna pay you bizzatches back next week
LOCK! :qt:

With no Moss, stopping Welker becomes a lot easier. We'll see what happens.

indeed.. can gamble alot more on them short dump off passes the pat get 343223 yards on with welker, eldman and hernandez etc..

top 3 deep treat in the league is gone

it changes the dynamic of the offense for sure. tate has the speed, just not the size of moss. we'll see how it works out, brady is actually going to be able to throw deep now since he'll get some single coverage. i don't think it will be an extra DB to float around and just cover wes now, teams were mostly in nickel and dime formations against the pats. they're still a passing team, but without moss i see D's focusing more on putting pressure on brady.

I swear to God if Suggs gets another roughing the passer on Brady I'm gonna flip my shit. Only if its "questionable" like his last couple, if its obvious I can't get mad about that.

last i checked the ravens killed the pats in the playoffs last year. that cancels out any bitching you can have.

LOCK! :qt:

ravens are a lock at +3

oakland +6.5 @ san fran
ravens +3 @ new england
colts -3 @ washington
jets -3 @ denver

best bets of the week.

oakland pick is an absolute lock though. by far best bet of the week.

giants -10 might be decent if megatron is out. can't imagine who they'd throw the ball to at that point. we all know they can't play defense. Shaun Hill is in for a long day if no Calvin Johnson

what do you guys get out of sports?

to me its an Urban Pacification Agent

no offense

What i get out of sports depends on the sport. To answer for football, I enjoy watching the athleticism of precision passing, beastly runs, and monster hits. I also enjoy the tremendous amount of strategy associated with the sport. For every play, coaches have to be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of every player on the field, have to be aware of how many yards the teams need, how many tries they have to get it, how much time is left on the clock, what the other team might do, etc. etc. and then have to use all that info to give their team the greatest chance of winning. It is fun to play coach in between plays and try to figure out what a team will and should do.

in summary football is both aesthetically pleasing and mentally stimulating to me. I suppose that this form of entertainment could be construed as urban pacification; but not in the way that you meant it. Sports leagues and teams are businesses that provide entertainment in exchange for money. It's not like ancient rome; there's no government ploy to placate the masses with spectacles

(another reason i watch football is due to my participation in fantasy leagues, but that is another can of worms all together)

It was a good game, when the Ravens went up 20-10 in the 4th I definitely took a deep breathe.
You got what you wanted though bro, Brady drivin to the turf after throwing a pass, he still completed it, so it didn't matter:).(that is penalty regardless of if he had the ball still or not) You cant pile drive a qb into the turf, I wish we could lol
The refs definitely did not want to listen to the ravens whine yesterday.

"I think they got like one or two plays that they drew up on the bye week that actually worked, like the (Brandon Tate) reverse and the little double wheel with (Aaron) Hernandez,” Suggs said. “But after that, when they had to line up and play football they didn’t have too many things go well for them."

Th refs let them play thats for sure. The game being announced in b-more said Reed will be back next week, don't know why he didn't try for it this week. At any rate, Ravens are 4-2 after the toughest opening schedule in the league. Four of the first six games on the road in NY Jets, Cincy, Pittsburgh, and New England. Cincy was a joke I can't believe they lost and they should be sitting on 5-1 right now.

I'm sure we'll meet again in the playoffs when it matters.

Yeah, I was a bit taken back when they said "reed feels the best he has in 4 years" WTF?
Also Baltimore did have a tough road run, I agree. We all have to play the schedule we are givin though.

Best luck and stay healthy.

BTW the game was a confrence game, I'm pretty sure it "mattered" ;)

thanks for the update
lol@ Buffalo

I'd take a 98% healthy Ed Reed in the back field last week against the Pats over Nakamura, why the fuck didn't he play last week? Two picks and a forced fumble first game back, he's beast.

Bills came to play today though.

both the pats and ravens almost lost to buffalo. wtf?

dude, this is the nfl. A win is a win (except for Pittsburg LMAO!)
It's not a miss usa contest
The jets almost lost to the Broncos last week, who got crushed by Oakland something fierce. We could go on and on and back and forth.

totally bro
wtf happened to Texas?

longhorns? eh. colt mccoy to jordan shipley was our entire offense last year, so with that gone you have a new qb throwing to lames. i knew our offense was gonna be fucked but i expected better from the defense. we did lose 4 studs to the nfl but i think part of it also is our offense not staying on the field long enough

did you watch that game? I bet no..

it was the worst reffed game i've ever seen. I was shocked they called the PI penalty on that play considering how blatantly one sided the officiating was.

btw, the ravens fuckin suck my nuts. they cost me big on a 7 point teaser this week. i hit all my bets except them. can't even beat the bills by 6 at home? fuckin overrated bums

I had the Miami/Pitt game in my area
Didn't see any highlights of the Balt/Buffalo game
I was suprised when I saw they were up 2 td's
Baltimore doesn't suck, they were a bit tired after playing 4 previous road games
i did hear the officiating call were total bs
I though the Pitt/Miami game was a hose job IMO
