at what point should you cut or bulk?

Build more muscle and the fat will drop easier.
What are you putting in? For what you are doing now, what do you expect?
 
it is possible to do both. get a good routine down and a spot on diet. go to the diet section and read the first page of threads, then do the same in the lifting section.

oh, i know all about weight lifting and diet, i juts look like this now because I've slacked for the last few months severely. I just want to know if I hsould cut or bulk? Im not a newbie, Ive already added 30lb's to my frame since I started a while ago.
 
I know you are going to get TONS of different responses on this. But you should lean out before you bulk. Your body will be more anabolic when you are leaner. So then when you bulk you can eat more cals without storing fat and they will be used properly and build muscle. Your body is in a fat store mode so if you up your cals too much chances are you will get more fat then muscle.

im skinny fat tho, ive heard its impossible to lean out when you barely have any muscle? wouldnt I juts look like im from a third world country?
 
I don't think that your abdomen would look big at all if your chest were a little bigger. It just looks a little bit now because you are thin everywhere else. I think if I were you, I would bulk first. You don't have tons of bf and the muscle would rip through it.

Don't take my word for it, though. There are better people on here to ask than me...lol.

no bro, make yourself up a diet that is above your maintenance with high protein, medium-low carbs, and make sure it is very very clean food. cut out all sugar-e shit. i've been doing this and it is working very well.
 
Yeah, my diet is solid, i said i was doing great, no soda for months or candy, then vacation, long road trips, nothing to eat but shit, now i look like shit. so a bulk is definetely the way to go.?
 
definately should put some weight on first and build a foundation b4 you cut, you need to have the muscles to see them when u cut, just saying
 
you say your diet is solid, your diet may be solid from a non-athlete's or non-bb'er standpoint (no junk food candy soda) but seriously a strength training athlete needs a special high protein diet with evenly spaced meals, actually to get great results you have to be pretty organized, dedicated, and have excellent planning with your diet and training.
 
Hey what is your typical diet/training, because simply no soda or sweets is not a bb diet. Just sayin'
