At what point did you accept MPB (If Prone)?

Izzman

New member
Just as the topic says, at what point did you accept MPB in your life and sport the shaved head look? I am barely 21, and my hair is noticably thin upfront, no doubt moreso from gear usage, however my crown is still thick as hell. But MPB runs in my family and its just a matter of time before I lose all the hair on my vertex. I started shedding when I was 18 for christs sake! I run every hair protectant you can imagine, and it just seems like an uphill, albeit losing battle. I really haven't had any great success with regrowing hair in the front even though I know its hard to do. Its really been driving me insane lately as good, healthy hair is a sign of youth, but then again people tell me I look awsome with a shaved dome, but I love my hair too much! What do you guys think? Sooner or later Im GOING to be bald, that is a fact, its just a matter of whether I choose to accept it now and be at rest rather than later on in my life.

9 fukin teen! Im 21 now and my hairline is just as it was when i was 18 , but the crown has gotten a lot thinner/less dense. I used to have such thick and dense hair that i remember my main barber used to jokingly say that she couldn't serve me cuz i would destroy her hair clippers......ohh those were the days!

Well I started going thin in my early twenties. I didn't start with AAS until just this last year (I'm 35) so it was just in my genes. Now luckily, like you I have a good head for the shaved look...fits me. I did battle though, conditioners, brushes that were supposed to stimulate the scalp, rogaine, voodoo doctor...everything. I realized I was fighting a losing battle and shaved my head at a friends party at around 24...never looked back. Best decision I've ever made. I wake up and my hair is styled. No brushes, no combs, no voodoo doctors. I'd say if you still have your hair and it looks good then stick with it and enjoy it. But when you get to the point of any frustration then let it go...shave that bad boy and enjoy your life. There is no point in spending time and energy on hair that has made it's retirement plans before you. By the way a good sign of youth is not your hair but the energy you bring to the things you do.

I lost the battle at 26, from then on shaved or very close croped, Been doing juice since I was 28 (I'm 33) , on my case genetics waiting to kick in.................

Lol, my genes kicked in at fucking 18! Man there should be like some, big men's hairloss support group on EF!

I started thinning at 18 , 28 now and I have a receeding hairline which has been stable.

My father was completely bald at 18 and one guy from my job has been completely bald since he was 15. For me personally I do not think you need hair to get the bitches. I am not even vein, but for some reason when it comes to my hair I go ballistic.

K for Jatcat I wish I could have the same attitude and not let that shit eat me up, I definately feel like it makes me a weaker person to stress about something so stupid ...

Well I'll admit, I'm a little vein, but theres just something about having the hair on your head that you were born with, it completes you along with your other features however it being moreso, or atleast thats what I feel. JATCA69's advice really got me thinking whether this is really worth the struggle. I'm not ready to give in yet......but who knows that may not hold up very long.

Don't give in Izzman, just don't let it consume you. It is what it is. In your case your lucky, people say you look good with a shaved head...so when your ready shave it until then, style it. Think of all the money your gonna save though when it's gone. We are the lucky ones, it looked good when it was here and it looks good when it's gone. Some guys are f*cked, they got funny shaped heads so when their hair goes they got real issues. Thanks for the k... :chomp:

Mine started going at 19. At 25 I still have a descent head of hair, considering my father was completley bald by the time he was 22.

Your wrong about one thing though...............There is a few LEGITIMATE things that you can do. The first is dutasteride. IF your not using finasteride or dutasteride, then you will definatley lose the battle.

I firmly believe that i would be completley bald if it weren't for consitent use of finasteride for the last five years. The dermatolagist agrees!

I know what you mean. Its almost like losing any other part of your body....like your finger. No matter how hard you try to forget about it, it will always be on your mind.

Now if anyone cares, this is what I used EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY!

1.25mg Proscar ED
Nizoral 2%/Nioxin/Polysorbate 80 Alternated EOD
Folligen 1ML w/ Spiro 5% after showering

Before Bed:
Spiro 5% w/ Minoxidi 5%
Pretty soon I will be adding Xandrox 15% solution at night ED as well Azelaic Acid 5%

Thats what I use ED! Its pretty much routine, but it sure is alot of effort, time and money for what I go through for my hair.

OMG Your killing me!!! Shave it. Think of all the avanar you could buy with that $$$$ ;)

just wait for hair cloning to become legal you bald fucks, never ever have to worry again..its another 5 years away though

I started shedding at 17, did not think much of it as had THICK hair. But as time went on it started to bother me, even thoug you could not tell the thinning was happening, by 22 it really started to screw with my head. I would wake up with my pulse racing, thinking "i don't wanna be bald", then go and apply my nizoral ans other crap. To make a long story short i lived like this till i was 28yo. The constant thinking about it, the insecurities and self consciousness got to me.

So i want into the bathroom and buzzed it. Half way through the buzzing i started to feel great, i mean really great. It's like the veil of insecurity was lifted and i literally got my life back, as silly as it may sound. I won't go back. I like this look and feel. So just let it go, screw hair it's stupid and to tell the truth i never liked it much anyway, too much hassle. Just let it go and be happy about it.

Right on, on every point. And i mean EVERY point. I see some of the dudes being consumed with this, i know i was. I really feel bad for the dudes that list these elaborate routines for keeping their har, with Nizoral, 5% Spiro, 2-5% minoxidil, priscar/propecia morning afternoon and evening, etc. I know the pain and fear they feel. But should just let it go. It's confidence that makes us attractive, not some hair on the head. Guys that wear the bald look with pride never have trouble getting laid anyway, lol!

well guys I began losing my hair after a dbol-test-masteron cycle some 10years ago....I had full dark hair .Now 10 years later ..at 34 years I have still my hair but I lost a lot...I still want to put on some pounds but am scary to have hairloss. I think of using dutasteride(its stronger than finasteride).I also use minox.15 ,spiro and nizoral.
Don't forget that girls always look at the first impression...your full body..with hair on your head!!!!!They don't like bald men..be sure of that.So I understand what you are going through...Try dutasteride and up the dose when you cycle...They are trying to clone some hairs and one doctor is going to do it this year(on people)They say that even Bruce Willis is going to visit this doctor.Oh yes.I read that the hairfollicels are still their and not dead in baldmen. They try now to find something to make them grow again.
I want muscles and a full head of hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know a guy, caugh needsize caugh, that still refuses shave his head completely. he spends a ton of money on all these hair saving products and wont let go of the hair. he shaves his head, but not right down. which he should!!! stop wasting money on that hair shit, and spend it on more gear!

What did you find to be the most usefull?

What I found to be the best was the combo of finasteride 1.25mg/nizoral 2%/Spiro 5% ED, this thickened my hair somewhat nicely. But nowadays I don't see much change at all. I hope Azelaic Acid will make a difference and Xandrox if I can get it.

I feel for you bro. I have a full head of hair,...-right now-, but maybe I'm going crazy, something tells me my hair just does not look like when I was in my early twenties. Everyone tells me it looks fine, but I still want to take precautions myself. I have always had a higher hairline, but full head of hair nonetheless. I was thinking of trying "Dutasturide." Only thing that concerns me is the potential for sides, but they go away, and it is supposed to be the best. Anyhow, it may be worth it since it blocks both DHT elements that comtribute to MPB. Propecia only does 1. With heavy gear use, you may look great, but this does not help hair growth or keeping. I have shaved my head before, and it's no so bad. I kinda liked it for a while myself, but I do like my hair better.

Good Luck.

Vin Diesel pulls it off fine. No reason why other guys would not...I would rather still be jacked than have my hair. That is if I had to choose. It's a trade off. Once it goes there really is no stopping it, unless you try every transplant operation possible and have thousands to blow. Even then you will have a huge 8' scar from the donor site on the back of your head. My best friend has it....Looks horrible. If/ when he starts going in back, he is screwed, if he shaved his head, now he has one more problem with this hacksaw huge scar on back. No thanks... Wigs, or frontals, but Even then people will still notice. What if it ever fell off or got loose. That is embarassing. It's cool now to sport the bald look. To look young, you still can with a shaved head look. You need to have a chisled face, tan, and take care of yourself. Wax the eyebrows, use Retin-A once in a while to help out your face, moisturize, and maybe even throw in a chemical peel at the extreme later in life. Screw the hair, Now you are a sleek iron god warrior who outgrew his hair. Just look at the Gold's Gym warrior, he's bald. (laughs..)

Good luck bro...Don't sweat it...
I may be next too... In that case...bye bye hair. Welcome a baldy, but be sure to tan and watch how much you bloat,...don't want to look like "Fester" on Aadams family. ;)

Let me know if the Xandrox makes a difference. The jury is still out on the rest of the products except dutast/finasteride and minoxadil.

I believe the goal at this stage in the game is to keep the hair you have until implants or cloning becomes cost effective. Thats why I only take finasteride and nizorol. I would rather save for implants five years from now, than use spiro, azelic acid, nioxin, and whatever else is popular.

As soon as dutasteride is covered by my health plan, I will convert. I have heard nothing but posative things from the dermatologists about this med.

Thanks for advice, in what ways have you noticed a greater dose being better? I've read all around (correct me if Im wrong) that anything above 1.25mg ED really doesn't make a difference hairwise. Have you seen less shedding even when on cycle, have you grown back more hair? Crown? Vertex? Thanks bro.

I definately noticed an improvement with the higher dosage.

The sides did go up noticeable though, but did go away after a couple of months. The test do show that most people dont react that much different from anything more than 1mg, but not everyone is the same. I didnt know that more would help me more until I tried it. You can go with Dutasteride, but its a little expensive for my taste right now.

The biggest difference was overall thickness of my hair, but I did notice that my hair in the temple area started gorwing in a little better also.
