at what cost a shake/meal before bed?

I am wondering for those that are trying to reduce bf(perhaps drastically), why would a shake/proper meal before bed be a good thing? I always thought that when cutting one didn't want to have late meals, say past 8pm??

Or will the shake benefits outweigh the negatives?

My last meal is about an hour or so before I go to bed....and I'm cutting right now.

Just keeps the carbs in that meal very very low.

Yes it would be if muscle catabolism is an issue for you. I think overall, improved thyroid function and lowering of catabolism can be achieved if meals are kept day-round, meaning even at night.

Your thoughts are based on another bodybuilding Myth that eating after 8pm will make you fat. That's nonsense, if you're cutting down and are in a state of catabolism, the LAST the you want to do is go to sleep being in that state. (or at least slow it down at night)
