arthritis in my shoulder

My arthritis in my shoulder has really gotten bad, and I am having trouble stowing items in the bed of my pickup truck. Aside from purchasing a new vehicle, does anyone have any suggestions which will help me handle the heavy tailgate or place things into the bed of the truck without aggravating more shoulder pain and stiffness?

Hi! I think I have an answer to your arthritis needs. I have wrenched my own arm a few times letting my truck tailgate down, and it really hurts my arthritis too. I have a one ton dually and I am 5 foot 4 inches tall so the top of the truck tailgate is teeth level for me. My neighbor had the EZDown truck tailgate assist kit on his pickup truck, and it had the website right on the part that lowers the tailgate slowly. I ordered it the same day. It arrived today and I have installed the truck tailgate parts. It took about 15 minutes and went together very well, particularly since the manufacturer includes all the tools with the kit. Now, it is hands-free tailgate opening! Oh, the website is www.custom-truck-tailgate.com
