Arthritis at age 27?

My shoulder has been nagging me for a while now. It's fine if I haven't been lifting on it for a couple days, but if I do any training that involves my right shoulder, I end up in pain for that workout and for a couple days afterwards. The pain is a constant ache at the tip (that knobby bone on top of the shoulder) of the shoulder in the joint itself. I went to a doc on Friday and this lady told me I probably have arthritis in it and the only thing I can do is not use it for a week, and then slowly start to get back into training. I asked her about using Glucosamine and she simply said I could try it and see how it works. This doctor was not very helpful at all. She just gave me a referral to see a physical therapist. I was supposed to start a cycle next week too! GRRRRR! WTF! How deflating is that! Sorry, I just had to vent some frustration! I'm gonna go get a second opinion!

I was diagnosed with rhuemetoid arthritis at 16months of age and my parents were told I would never walk.

I think arthritic conditions are very common in weight training athletes (especially the kind of guys who come to this board). I have had to adapt by doing less barbell work, and more dumbbells, and even giving up altogether certain exercises as they just were too bothersome. I have also been taking MSM for 4 years and it has helped me alot. If certain movements are really causing pain substitiute them for ones that don't (if there are some). You could always use Deca in your upcoming cycle (this helped me alot). Good luck.
