Your score can affect other things down the road as far as going to MOS specific "schools" and so on which in turn can affect promotability, so it's great that you are scoring that high.
Can be hard to say and depenent upon location. I have read that in Iraq a forward "Batallion" had a 1% casualty and a 15% wounded rate. However, another Combat Engineering "Company" suffered a 25% casualty rate.
"Starting out with 100 men, the engineering company was assigned to patrol the perimeter of a large U.S. military base in Balad, in the so-called Sunni Triangle north of Baghdad.
One out of four Alpha Company soldiers was killed or wounded in the yearlong tour."
Which is one of the highest casualty rates so far. But location had everything to do with it. Not to mention that as support, this Co. was orderd to "patrol" an occupied area when they weren't prepared to do so. But those things can and do happen more often than is known.
i have a construction background and the recruiter was trying to get me to join a bridge building MOS.
his lure was that their was no bridges being built in a desert and proly wouldn't be deployed.
but that seems to boring, don't know if i'd like it
