Some muscles, as quads, seems to respond better to high reps. As for arms, what do you prefer when it comes to adding mass, high reps or low reps. Please write down how you train them. Reps, set and times per week.
on a cut phase i like to do single muscle training a realy emphasize on killing the muscle with high reps and low weight
for bis... i definately like the pump...
Example for first exercise:
Preacher curls
65 x 20
75 x 16
85 x 10
(this is the killer) 65 x 12
Obviously i do 3 other exercises at normal reps and weight... usually 3 exercises for 8-12 reps
What i do for tris is alot like the bis
on a bulking phase... usually take that extra hour and work 2 muscles and then do somewhat of a 5x5 routine with 2 extra exercises... and sometimes i incorporate 1 last 4th exercise maybe do 1-2 sets and just do it to failure... that goes for all groups of muscles...
I have done curls with low and high reps. I have noticed that my arms respond better to reps of 10 than they do to 5. Respond means looks a lot fuller and definately have a "cut" look to them. I suspose it is the difference that the sets of 10 put on the peek on the muscle.
