Arm Site Injections: Hitting Nerves??

Many-Moons

New member
I was just wondering about site injecting and the possibility of hitting nerves, mainly in the arm (bi's & tri's).

How many of you, who are experienced with arm sit injections, have had hit a nerve in the bi's or tri's? I dont have 20" arms so i plan to use 25g. 5/8 needles in the bi's & tri's.

Can you hit a nerve with 25 5/8 needle? Also, where are the nerves located at these muscles? Ive looked at many anatomy charts but am still a little confused.

I've done a ton of injects in the arms and never had a problem. Also I don't have 20'' arms either and have used up to a 1.5'' 23 g pin with no problems. I think 1'' 25g is the best choice and thats what I use now. As for where to inject take a look at this site http://www.spotinjections.com/index2.htm the places it shows are pretty close to the places where I inject. The two I do that aren't on their is the inner part of the tri that rest on your body. Just raise your arm straight abouve your head and stick in the meateist part. Also brachialis injections. On this one I only stick the needle in half way. Flex your arm like your doing a reverse grip curl and you will see the muscle poping out between the bi's and tri's. I shoot about in the middle of the muscle where its thickest.

cool. I was just a little worried about it cuz I heard that you can hit the radial nerve and damage it.

Its nice to know that you have done it alot and havent had problems!

yes I am about to try site injections on my next cycle. So much debate about it but I figure it cant hurt

I hit a nerve in my bi once. Not pleasant. It was almost a shock reaction than pain reaction. My bicep twitched as soon as I hit the nerve, and I just instantaneously withdrew. :bawling:
