If you add about 1 teaspoon of baking powder to it & put it all in the blender, it will "puff" up so you can have it like a pancake....

IM off to Navy PIer for the rest of the day/night. Private party... dont know about food...hopefully I'll be able to eat some veggies and lean meat. I cant really bring a protein shake since I cant fit one into my tiny fancy purse. UGHH IM nervous about that. Any ideas everyone????? What to do?
 
Here's an interesting optoin for limited protein shake room-- You can do this w/ Bev Int'l protein mix & I suppose anythign else that is good quality --

2 scoops protein mix
mix in a bowl w/ just enough coffee to make a mush
nuke it for 90 sec

It should cook into like a little cake. Its sort of dry as hell but there you have a little protein cake that is nothign but protein mix & coffee. I guess you can do it w/ water too but the coffee gives some flavor and also some caffeine if you need it. Then throw that in a baggie and in your purse. Good to go.

RE: legs -- couple suggestions -- and I know these can be done because I beat the shit out of my legs all the time and they are the largest muscles in your body - they can take a beating. You could split the leg routine into 2 parts - quads & hams. Then do them 2x/week - Heavy quads, light hams, and then the 2nd time heavy hams, light quads -- this gives you 2x the workout plus reasonable recovery time.

RE: the lunges & step ups --- IMO these are things that you feel more if you do more - i.e. 15 steps per set of lunges -- try walking lungs for 25 steps "there", 25 "back" x 4. Superset w/ step-ups --- like 20 steps or 30 steps per set. I also like Bunny's ref back to the plyo exercises. I would love to give a shot at better incorporation of these into my workouts because the fast paced stuff that leverages more of that push / power push / cardio & endurance aspect is something that I've not included in my workouts over the years and my ass / hams are an area that has always lagged.

THANKS SASSY for the ideas.... BUt I was gone already lol...

this is what they had for food... cheeseburgers,pizza,CAKE, hotdogs...and they were all the things I didnt have...lol..they did have grilled chicken and salads... thank god!

6pm:
1 protein bar (o sugar, 17g carbs/net 5g, 24g protein)

8:30pm:
approx. 5oz. grilled chicken breast
~1c salad w. 1TBS italian dressing-ff.
~1/2c potato salad.... not the best but nothing else there....overall not too bad


11pm:
I guess this was the cheat meal for the week. Unexpected BUT ... we went out to a sushi bar(sushi samba--heard of it Bunny???) ...I had 3 different types, 2 pcs. each.. which is like 6 pcs. of sushi.

I have no clue what this will do to my diet? :worried:
It was tuna, salmon, shrimp types of sushi :) SOOOO YUMMY though

Forgot to add... BUT MY LEGS ARE BEYOND SORE. I have to struggle to sit down on a toilet. seriouslly IM IN PAIN :worried: like really bad....I dont even wanna know what will happen once I add in all those other exercises. It hurts the most to do stairs, sit down, and walking looks somewhat like Ive been "you know what" all night for 2 weeks. lol
 
Sushi is protein. Its the rice & sodium-based soy sauce (and the estrogen promotion form the soy sauce if you really get into it) that screws things up...

It was fun but I wanted to leave early b/c I couldnt walk or stand. Sitting wasnt an option b/c when I would get up it would be worse. The only time I had no pain in my legs was when I speed walk. WE dont drink and stuff so it wasnt our kinda thing. The music was good ,..... the food... well... smelled good but I dunno how it tasted. I feel too guilty to eat shi*.Everyone there was sooo f-in funny... the gay boys with their dogs and stuff LOL... fun fun, drunk idiots everywhere ... and not one single guy walked by without checking out MH. 3 days since leg day and IM STILL SORE. Ive been stretching and everything..and yet Im still walking up stairs like a 80 year old. Geez, my legs SUCK. AND i have to do soooo much more work. I hope I build up to it soon enough. Was planning on doing legs tomorrow but Im unsure now...?

Yea its good b/c its not competition food... Sometimes I cant help but feel guilty for eating things like fruit and yogurt...believe it or not..but slow progress is BETTER ... i dont want rebound !!! :evil: I want overal health and to lean out. I figure 1lb/wk would be ok...but not going by weight...i always go by pictures and clothes...

Things are ok...Im @ work BORED as usual.... trying to dl JAVA so I can play games lol...My legs are hurting still... kicked their ass on Sat. lol

busy @ work as usual :)

legs. i have a calf story. did some new exercises with the bf. felt okay the next morning, and immediately went to work as normal in three inch heels. well, those shoes don't allow you to stretch out those calf muscles much. i was walking around on my tippy-toes for three days!! i cried when i tried to flex my feet. baaaaaaad.

You can do some light legs higher reps to get the flood flow into them .. may help with recovery but nothing too much ... maybe even elliptical or arc trainer ...

Ive been doing ok. I hope everything has been good far all of you! Im trying to read up on all of your logs :)

Lately, Ive been feeling sort of like a prisoner in my own body. I donno what the deal is. I guess Im still recovering from that competition. I understand how people who do a show, drop a lot of weight and all that... can have problems after. I lost a TON of fat really quickly and Im sure I gained some back. Im too scared to get on a scale (but thats a whole other issue). I want PROGRESSSSS fast I guess and MH is convincing me that slower is better. Maybe I just dont see change since I look in the mirror first thing when I wake up EVERY DAYYYY!!!My diet is clean with the occasional cheat day 1x week. That was the plan... not to worry too much and eat fruit and dairy. Ya know... stear away from the competition diet. BUT now I feel like my body isnt really progressing. I donno what the deal is. Everyone says I look good but I dont care what people say. In my head, Im a giant fat ass! I know, its bad to say, but Im debating whether I should make the diet even cleaner. The issue with that is that I dont know if its a good idea since I dont wanna crash AND I will do another show in April SO then what?.

I feel like such a dork. SOrry for the BIATCHINNGGG above I just need to vent. Maybe my mood has to do with the fact that my monthly friend is coming to visit in a few days... But this has been floating around in my head for a while now.

Am I alone in all this??? Do any of you feel this way? If yes, any words of advice to get me out of this state of mind would GREATLY be appreciated. In the end, Im sure all this is just up to me to resolve. Growing up, I was ALWAYS overweight. I got put on a diet in 3rd grade.... called nasty names growing up... fat in high school, eating disorders followed... then I met an amwesome guy who made me feel good about my self. I gained weight... then did the show.... lost a TON but feel it was in an unhealthy way... and now Im trying to find some sort of balance.

This road Im on is tougher than I though.

And yes, my big booty is still BIGGGGGG

How often are you training?
Any cardio?
Are you tracking in fitday?
How much fruit are you eating?
What supps are you taking (protein, fat burners, thermos, vitamins, herbals, minerals)?
....I know there's more, but those all popped in my head at the same time....

If you want to keep your fruit - eat it before 3 PM so you have enough time to burn off the sugar. You were asking me about Glucorell and SesaPure in Chicago. I really think they are at least worth a shot to try.

Sit down and put it all on paper and see what you need to change. Then MAKE yourself stick to it. Good luck - you KNOW you can do it!!!!!! :kiss:

I know I know... Its all been put on paper... but somehow doesnt click in my head. I always wonder about supps. I havent ventured past cardio breeze and most likely wont for a while. Money is an issue as well as personal reasons. I wanna do it all naturally .... as close as possible. Im training hard, the fruit is actually at a minimum really.. diet is like it should be .. It just isnt all "THERE" mentally. Im too hard on my self. I want to be at a certain point NOW and my genetics want otherwise.

You're not alone. What you have achieved so far is way beyond ordinary, don't ever lose sight of that. Know that what you are feeling is really all in your head. Scorp had some great advice - use it. MH is right, slow and steady will win the race. And seriously, your butt is not as big as you think.

went for a bike ride, 20 minutes to a GYM, then ran 6 tracks on a treil, then rode the bike for another 30min. Im not sure on distance BUT I was dripping in sweat and breathing hard when I got back. HR avg. 154....

I donno really... ITS SO delicious though. Its like really lean beef sliced very thin and then seasoned.... this one was teriyaki and grilled .. tasted kind of sweet and so GOOD :)

Ouuuuuuu it's pretty good - I like it at any rate.
It's a flank cut, not horribly expensive and cooks up tender.

I'm gettin kinda tired of chicken & tuna everyday with the occasional salmon or talapia.

I have no idea. I know my dad would always go to the Mexican store and pick it up. It comes pre cut with all the hot yummy seasoning already on it. They marinade it in some hot red sauce that is soooooo good. Check out some places around your house. I dont know if they would have that at a regular grocery store. I think ethnic only... let me check...

*Just asked my mom and she said we get it at a Mexican store deli.
