Get a book that has "Learn Photoshop by Pictures".

They give easy to follow, step-by-step instructions and includes pictures for each process.

Our local library had a new one and I learned most of photoshop in one weekend. Of course then you have to practice to improve, but knowing the basics is all you need to get going.

I know the basics guys.

One does not need Photoshop 7 or CS or anything close for the basics.

Library is a great idea....I should use it more often. I might learn something.
