I tried this exercise this morning and it's tough!

It's an *assisted* one-arm chin-up
Use one hand in the supinated position, place the other hand on your wrist and pull

Easier than the real 1-arm chin-up but you still have to pull your bodyweight with 1 arm

I can do sets of 2 w/o a strap but it's tough on the wrist

Impressive!

I tried that once thinking I could do at least 5 since at the time I could rip off 20 or so pull-ups no problem.

I didn't even come close to one, it was like I was nailed to the floor.

Hmmmm, it's not me in the pic :)

But yeah, it's tough and you can feel it from the wrist/forearms to lats and abs
 
Oh, well...2 reps is still impressive :)

I have pretty weak wrists so maybe that was my weak link in the chain.
 
Just did 2 sets of 5 reps with the right arm (but only 2 with the left one - my rotator cuff is still screwed)
 
It's impressive, but not what I consider strong.. there's plenty of rock climbers can do that and they'd snap like a twig if you put 225lbs on their shoulders.

fwiw I dont think my fat ass could do that
