Are you satisfied?

The day I'm satisfied with where I'm at and no longer see the need to improve is the day I give lifting away.

Your thoughts?

I agree with you!

That day will never come for me. I will always need upgrades. :)

I've thought about that, and don't think I will ever be. Someone is always stronger than you and I hate that.

ill be satisfied when im done growing height wise, which i think im jsut about there, im 6'5" now i think ill be 6'6" at my peak. i wanna be 240 pounds at 9% bodyfat.

I wish to be pleased with my results, but never satisfied. Maybe one day I'll get as large as I'd like, and if so, stop...I've no interest in being gigantic. But even then, I'd like to continue gaining in strength. Thin as I am, even now I put more emphasis in gaining strength than in gaining size. In any case, I find the idea of not having a goal unimaginable...going in the gym to simply maintain sounds very boring.

Satisfaction is what I feel right before I set the next goal.

Amen.

That is the humble truth too...

i used to think i would be satisfied w/ a certain weight but i really dont think i will ever be satisfied completely. If i was, wouldn't be as much fun.lol

Yeah, I've thought a little about this myself. I'm sure I'd always be aiming to improve on *something* though I hope that someday I'd be satisfied with how I look (that day is long off, however :king:)

The day I am satisfied with myself is the day I get put in a pine box. I feel I will always have room for improvement in all aspects of my life. If it's not in lifting then in being a better person. Though this doesn't mean I can't feel good about myself and the things I have accomplished just means I need to keep working

Cheers,
Scotsman

Same here. When I started 7 months ago, I set weight and bodyfat goals, figuring when I got there I'd look how I want to look. Well, I'm almost there, and I do look the way I want to look. But at this point I'm addicted to the progress, the ability to drastically alter my appearance. I don't think I'll be able to stop.
