Are you honest?

ok....I have been on here for about a month now and have read many post by many people. I am wondering how many of you are truely honest when you post or reply on the board.

How many of you act like yourselves on the board?

How many of you play it up and just have fun being someone else?

I can only speak what I know, so therefore I am honest and act like myself.

I am silly and I kid around but yeah i am myself, really...it's in real life I can't always be myself :(

Absolutely, why not. I mean if you can't be honest on
a chat board, where can you.

As far as how people act, I think everybody has
different personas.
You act one way at work, or in a business situation.
While you may act differently with friends.

Personally I have to be honest, and act like I
do in real life. With some people on here I feel
comfortable behaving like they are friends.
With others I try to keep a distance, I just
don't quite know where they are coming from.
 
Same here, same in life. I can be a complete jester, or I can be very serious. There's a right place and a right time for certain things.

I try to plan accordingly. One thing you can always count on, I'll give it to you straight, whether you like it or not. ;)

i don't think anyone is gonna say they are dishonest. i think everyone acts alittle differently when they are on the internet. its a lot easier to speak your mind on here.

sg and some of the other characters might be just made up for fun though
 
I'm elected to my current job. In other words, a political hack. I probably say things here that I would not say publicly or at least say them in a way I would not say in a newspaper. Before I get flamed for not speaking my mind to those who elect me, I do. You just have to be careful how you say shit or some ass will twist it and beat you in the ass with it. I sincerely doubt, for example, my constituants would appreciate me giving legal advise to those who use AAS.

The only difference between me in real life and me on this board is that I am VERY shy in real life. I do, however, think the exact same things in real life that I do on this board, and, if I weren't so shy, I would say and do the exact same things as well.

I wish I weren't so shy.

I guess that I am who I am and I can't change that...right?

I do believe that being on the board allows some people to say things that they would not normally say or do things that they would not normally do. I read some of the posts and hope that is the case. I read some of the replies and wonder why someone would ever say something like that. I guess that I am just nieve and believe that everyone is sweet with a pure heart...guess that I am wrong.

I agree. I think the fact that this is a chat board makes us feel like we can say whatever we are thinking while in real life, we might avoid certain topics or keep our opinions to ourselves. I know that personally, I tell you all like it is.

I'm honest except where a) it could hurt the other person a lot b) they could hurt me a lot

Therefore I am hardly ever honest away from boards :(.

Go figure.

I am most free here because I didn't link to it on my site. If I linked to it some people would worry about how ill I am. So i can't even be particularly free there...

On the flip side I try to remember that when I am emotional I exaggerate etc and that can really mess things up so - there's reason for sometimes not speaking until I calmed down...although it wouldn't matter if I was with someone who loved me more than to run away because I was angry. There are not many of those around me... :(

(I have proof of this, saying weird stuff when I was emotional...it's when someone a year later says "Yeah but you once said THAT and I say "I did...omigosh!!!"

So basically I feel like I only lie when I feel backed into a corner. But that is most of my real life, at present...

I halfway act like myself and I've been honest as far as I can remember. Besides the times I was blatantly joking.
 
I am as out spoken here as I am in real life.
I'm not sure if that's good or bad but people always ask me my opinion and I'll usually always give it.

Diplomacy levels vary - depends on the mood.

What you see is what you get even though there are people who have known me for years and would swear they don't know me at all.

(It's that secretive streak.)

If you're my friend you'll be so for life - we're both bound to make mistakes and hurt some feelings along the way - so all will always be forgiven.

So uh, yah.

I'm honest and this is who ya get.

Sometimes I am serious, when I am I mean it, but most times I am just trying to have a laugh, nothing offensive, i hope people dont take anything that way because it is never meant that way

But it depends on the thread but I would say there is more to me which you dont see on here, but no way in a bad way, you just have to get to know me
