Are thigh shots allways so painful?

This is my third cycle and previously i allways shot on glutes. I also begun this cycle with glute shots with no pain but all of the sudden i decided to try thigh shots. Damn, how painful is this!!! Not to mention ED shots of test prop on thights... How you vet. deal with this when you have the wohle training week ahead? i can´t do legs tomorrow... can i use some advil to aleviate the pain?
 
thigh shots are very hit and miss

I've had ones that cripple me for a couple days and others that are so painless I forgot I ever injected.

You gotta shoot towards the outside - in the range of 6" below the hip and 6" above the knee.

It also depends on what you're shooting, I'd be really skeptical of shooting test prop in the thighs without cutting it with like 2ml's of EQ.
 
I’m leaning against the old quad shot,

Never use anything larger than a 1” x 25 gauge and never more than two ccs


I don’t know, I think, this is not bragging my quads are simply too muscular and too tight, compact, they never relax,

Anyway, my glutes and delts get all my attention lately,


The quads have me spooked.
 
pharm grade test cyp, no pain unless I inject over 1 cc.. then its just kinda sore from having a lot of oil.. never really 'hurts'
 
as solid said. dont use any larger then 25ga 1 inch.

what gear are you using? prop and winny really hurt my quads.
tryin baking your gear
then apply heat before and after your injection for 30min after
then with the heat applied, message the area for 15 mins.

doing that almost completely took the pain away for me

word.. i take a shower afterwards and massage my leg for 5-10 minutes to move all the oil around.. i always feel 95% the next day.
 
I found that the first couple of quad shots always hurt. After the initial shots though, everything is pretty painless. Just keep the injects to the Lateralis...tried the Medialis a couple of times and those hurt pretty damned good.
 
Yup gotta say quads are my favorite as well. Easy to get to, easy to massage without looking like you are rubbing your own ass. I rotate between quads, glutes, and delts, so just modify it a littel to go with your lifts. I am doing legs today, so I am gonna shoot glutes after I lift.
 
Damn I must be lucky I could go all week shooting PROP in my quads and I get no pain at all and I use a 1" 23g pin.
 
The only problems i have with quads are with prop, and its mostly hit or miss.. some days its great, some days im crippled. With anything else, im fine, 1cc enth, 1cc eq, .5cc deca, (2.5cc total) 25g 1" pin, and i dont feel a thing the next day. Thats with the usuall 5 min massage, shower, workout, and then hottub. ;)

I do none of that, no hot shower, no massaging for 5-10 minutes. I just shot and swab the blood if there is any and be on my marry way.

I put 2cc Cyp in those things using the same size pin and they dont hurt at all.

What i'd recommend to the original poster is to do some "warmup" squats (just bodyweight) to get the muscle loose, some jumping jacks (or whatever) to get the bloodflowing, pop an asprin to thin (maybe 30 min prior) the blood and help circulation -- inject -- then massage and more bodyweight squats. Make sure to put pressure on the site when massaging and squating because you dont want your gear to rupture.

Never got sore doing this and was sometimes sore before I did this. Granted I only inject 1x week, but im no mass monster and 2cc doesnt bother me.

EDIT: Also make sure your injecting in the biggest part of the muscle. Flex first and look for that upper outter muscle and inject right in the middle. Always aspirate first (lots of vessels in there).
