Are these lumps an abcess?

An abcess is red and painful and a fever ususally goes with it right? These lumps have none of those symptoms. They are from suspension. I'm trying not to be paranoid, but it's been two weeks and no improvement. I've had lumps take a month to go away, but the one is pretty big. Wutcha think? If I come clean with my doc, will insurance cover it?

Only way to find out is to take a 23-21g needle attached to syringe of course, stick it into the lump and pull all the way back on the plunger. See if shit like dirty hydaulic oil comes into the barrel. I had to pull about 6cc's of gunk outta my left quad last week. I'll poke again in about a week and see if there is more. What I have is a sterile abcess. No need for antibiotics, just gotta drain em. It kinda sucks but it is real rare that it happens. Usually happens with short esters or no esters or not rotating sites at all.

Mate I really wouldn't worry about it. Happens to me quite often. I've never had to drain anything, just left it 2 weeks and it was fine. I think it could be cos I am using 1" needle and not going in far enough as I am always very sterile carful and leave a 2 weeks gap in site rotation.
