www.imdb.com is the best place imo. Generally, if the movie is above a 7.5 it's worth watching. I don't read any of the user reviews because they're mostly idiots, but the actual nubmer rating is the most accurate out there.

rottentomatoes is trash, I've seen quite a few good movies get bad ratings on there.
