The farthest shark attack on record was 22 miles inland up a creek in NJ. It was a great white shark.

The book of lists is awesome.

Most people killed by alligators was crazy too!

Wow thats crazy - Does it say what creek??

The ongoing rushing water into NO is from the River not the Ocean. I doubt the sharks would jump the levee's to get over.

But hey.. ya never know

They don't have to jump, Frisky....levee breaches in two places....they could just swim right on through the gaps.

But you seriously think there would be Sharks in Lake Pontchartrain?

I would think snakes are bad down there.

New Orleans is so hot and humid, I wonder if there are going to have big bug problems from stagnet water. Mosquitos and disease etc...

Westnile was brought up a few times on the news. Even standing water in my back yard draws them.. I can only imagine

sharks don't live in freshwater.. and are pretty sentive to the specifics of the water they live in.. unlike something like a catfish

I don't recall. I read it about years ago. It was in the 20's or 30's.

You can sit at the library and read that book all day. Its in the reference section.

I've seen some catfish that would make me rather be in the water with sharks :worried:
