are men really helpless?

i have been onto bbf for weeks now to choose his groomsmen. he has picked two out of the three he needs. he just won't pick a third. he keeps going back and forth or telling me to pick the third. i don't know all of his friends so there is no way i would pick for him.

if we were having a normal wedding wouldn't make such a big deal about picking this soon. but whoever he does pick for his third has to have a costume made to wear the day of the actual wedding.

we are getting married at the texas renaissace festival, which was bbf's idea. guess men just don't understand how much the brides have to do already. shouldn't have to handle every detail for the groom also.

sorry everyone just venting a little. so much to do besides everything else i have going on. don't know what happened to the simple wedding i wanted.

so do the groomsmen have to dress like cowboys or some shit? you said costume.

You guys should party at the TxRenFest, not get married there. Sounds like way too much of a hassle for everyone to get costumes and play make-believe.

men are to weddings what horses are to oranges. Yep neither one matches or makes any sense.

Cheers,
Scotsman

so they do have wear costumes!!! LOL

we aren't expecting all the guest to come in costume. just the wedding party. also my parents are paying so that we will have a dressing area there so we can just get ready there. my parents are also paying for all the guest tickets and for a small reception there. that way everything is in one location and while we are dressing and after the reception all the guest can watch the shows going on, shop or do whatever they want. only going to be 50 people total at actual wedding.

but bbf's parents are hosting a huge reception the night before in houston for all of our friends and extended family instead of regular rehersal dinner. they don't want anyone to feel left out since we both have really big families and they all won't be able to attend the actual wedding.

Everyone there looks like DaVinci, Michaelangelo, etc. so its not an easy costume to throw together on the cheap.
