Just wondering, Im not having any for a WHILE.

I know my mom and dad have done so much for me. I used to play basketball, baseball....... any sport you name it. We would go out of town to play for weeks in row sometimes months. They gave up there entire weekend for me. I

was riding back with a friend on the way home last week. He had his little sister with him, she was pinching me and never slept a blink the whole eight hours. I thought was gonna shit.

Maybe its different when they are your own........

I hated being talked down to when I was a child, and I make it a point not to do that when I'm aorund kids. So yeah, I like kids and they generally like me -- I talk to them like I talk to adults and give equal respect to thier opinions and points of view.

You be surprised how much you can learn by having a conversation with a 5 year old. :)

I love kids. I know that I want them at some point but I'm 23 and in no rush for such responsibility. I keep telling my parents that they'll have grand-ferrets for a long time. Honestly, I'm much too selfish at this stage in my life to be a parent.

They can be the most aggravating people in the world, "do this, take me there, give me this." Always wanting something, taking your time and causing you to miss out on being with your buddies or whatever.

Then they go and give you a simple hug and tell you that they love you and you realize that you have the greatest blessing that you could possible have. A child. Someone who looks to you for comfort, compassion, love, and to help teach them how to live life.
Someone who thinks you can do anything, and know everything there is to know.

And no I do not have any children, but I have seen so many people who don't realize what special gifts they have in their own homes. You just hope they open their eyes before it's too late.

People often ask me why I felt the need to have so many children and I always thought that it was because of how much I wanted to give... love, knowledge, discipline, etc. I soon realized that it was the EXACT OPPOSITE!... It was because of how much I NEEDED TO LEARN and what THEY have given me... SELFLESSLY asking nothing in return!

Yes, it is difficult at times, but love is NEVER divided when you have children (if you have them because of what you want to GIVE) - it is only multiplied.

I never had a son... But I do have two nephews who love me dearly and whom I love with equal fervor.

And Golfer I DO AGREE - THERE AIN'T NOTHING WORSE THAN AN ILL-BEHAVED CHILD! But it is not the children who shoot be shot (firguratively) it IS THE ADULT (literally!).
