Are a country's solder...

they're actually a combo of tin and lead. Most commonly with tin making up 5% by weight, and lead making up 70% by weight.

They are who they are because they believe and love their country and are willing to die for that belief and love!

nothing wrong with being a soldier...
military is good for alot of peeps...
I just hate war.

Really, we don't care what anyone else thinks about us. It's all about the people around us. Those that haven't been just don't get it. Knowing that you can trust the guy next to you to save your ass and you'd give your life to save his is all that it is about. Not interested in your labels.

I found my time in the service a great experience. Sure, it's the Canadian army so I was guarding the whale blubber truck.

As for the 'labels', I'm not looking at it from the soldier on the ground, but the commander on the field or the person at the very top.

The solider on the ground do what they do because what they are told to do.

But are you saying that the soldiers on the ground aren't used as pawns? Are you saying that it's okay to verbalize the 'support of the troops', but cut the benefits or cut the funding to the military hospitals at the same time? Is it okay to ask for the solider on the ground to die for your freedoms, but then not support them when they get home by cutting their supports sets and vets support?

If so, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion, but in my view, that's treating the solders as pawns in a game rather then soldiers who died for your country.

The Canadian army is going to cut down on the government supported legions. This groups of people died for me in the previous wars. I'm a little disturbed by this because it says to me that they're treated as pawns rather then real people who gave everything.

But then again, maybe that's not really important to you.

Personally, I think it's important to give back for those who died for me and to not let them be used as political capital.

We disagree. That's fine.
